Yea, its just simple math. You can do this with anything from your phone number to your SS# just play around with it.

That explains it, I'm used to complicated math.

Well it'd be much more simple if one of you "simple" fuchs provide the formula.

Hey, I get it, you could just start with the target number and work your way backwards to get to a starting point , using any calculations you want to throw in there until you get back to step one where you need to figure the last step to get to your starting point. That is simple.

Here's a start:

((80+1) x 250 -250)/2 = 10000

10000 x your first three digits = xxx0000 (555-0000 for example)

The rest is you just putting in the last four digits twice which is then divided by 2.

That should give you an idea of how the formula works.

x = first three, y= last four

1. x
2. 80x
3. 80x+1
4. 20,000x + 250
5. 20,000x + 250 + y
6. 20,000x + 250 + 2y
7. 20,000x + 2y
8. 10,000x + y

Multiplying x by 10,000 shifts the first three digits over four decimal places, then y fills the gap.

Here's one a little more interesting. Describe a function f(x) such that it yields your phone number when f'(x) is evaluated for x=1.

EDIT: I should also specify that the form of f(x) should be generic so that it can be applied to any phone number and when f(x) is evaluated for x=1 should not yield any information about the phone number.

The Chiefs absolutely OWNED the T-Birds this year, however my home town Silvertips fared much better against the champs. Congrats if that's your team.
