Approximately .002% of Planeteers get that station. You'll have to tell us about it.

We did a thing where we lifted for special need students in the area. And afterwards they interviewed me about it, and then asked how our football team would be next year. It was cool.

Sweet man, thats always a cool thing. When I was a senior in High School (05) I was doing pretty well in basketball and scored 26 points against a rival and the biggest TV Station in Ohio 10TV was there. They showed a recap of the game and it was like a mini-highlight for me, my dad ended up buying a copy of the tape from 10TV and gave it to me later as a gift, it was pretty cool.

Way off topic here, but speaking of Springfield...

There was an MMA fighter from Springfield MO on HDNet Fights last night. I can't remember his name, but he was a pretty big underdog, and looked to be physically over-matched.

He was a hell of a wrestler, though. Ended up gutting out a unanimous decision.

Was his last name Cook?

Was his last name Cook? No, don't think so...

I believe it was this guy, Matt Veach. It says he's from St. Louis here, but I'm certain they said he was from Springfield on the show.

Heh, that's a local Springfield station. Only folks in that DMA get it from Directv.

Good stuff. Your defensive coordinator must have a big heart.

There's a local high school baseball team here (the Littleton Lions) that shows up in uniform in July to help with a baseball camp for deaf and hard of hearing kids.

The kids are thrilled, the young men on that high school team are admirable and their coach, Galen Graf (who helps to coordinate the FREE camp for these kids) is a blessing to every life he touches.

BTW: The association that sponsors the camps is SERTOMA. (Yeah, it sounds like a form of cancer, but the name is shorthand for SERvice TO MAnkind.) The story that I've heard says that Lou Brock, a member of SERTOMA started the camps and they've spread from that beginning.

Great way to pay some of your talent back, LiL stumppy.

But why should he have to put in more than fat, lazy, poor people Mr. Bronco? It's just not fair. I support a flat service for everyone who is contributing to others needs.

I celebrate anyone who volunteers to give.

Being ordered to give while under the threat of incarceration doesn't compel admiration from anyone.

(And no, my sarcasm meter isn't broken in this case.)

is that the main gym at the new HS?
when they first started a weight program at willard my freshman year they drug all the old rusty equipment from the old stadium locker room painted it blue had the vo tech guys build some racks and shoved it all down in the old girls gym.

very cool way to get the student athletes involved in the community. how long has the coach been there?
All the money ive paid in property tax are you guys gonna go above .500 anytime soon?

Yea, it's really nice. Our new weight room is very nice too, it's about twice the size of our old one. Coach Wick has been a coach her fore a while, not sure exactly how many years. But a head coach for 4 years.

And yes, we will be in the hunt this year. Also, we went 6-4 last year. So we're doing better lol.
