Best software to grab screen caps from AVIs?

? A friend of mine's friend recently died and is wanting to grab image screen caps from a video for the funeral.

Just use VLC player. I believe that does it just fine.

Windows Media Player Classic has the function built in. Hell, usually I just hit print screen.
