Quarterbacks

1. Hunter Cantwell, Louisville
Height: 6'5 - Weight: 230
Cantwell has the size and arm strength of a pro QB. He just has to prove he can play every week.

2. Tim Tebow, Florida
Height: 6'3 - Weight: 235
Tebow looked good throwing the ball last season, but needs to prove he can sit in the pocket most downs and throw the ball accurately.

3. Matthew Stafford, Georgia
Height: 6'3 - Weight: 237
Matthew Stafford has all the physical attributes you look for in an NFL quarterback. Like Cantwell and Tebow he just needs to show he can get the job done consistently.

4. Chase Daniel, Missouri
Height: 6'0 - Weight: 223
Chase Daniel is a little on the short side for an NFL quarterback, but so was Drew Brees.

5. Todd Boeckman, Ohio State
Height: 6'5 - Weight: 243
Boeckman is a huge QB with a cannon for an arm. He just needs to show he can avoid the rush in the pocket and get rid of the ball.

6. Cullen Harper, Clemson
Height: 6'4 - Weight: 215
Cullen Harper looked fantastic last season. Another year like that will get him into 2009's second round.

7. Nate Long shore, California
Height: 6'5 - Weight: 233
Like most of the other QB's in this class, Longshore has shown flashes of brilliance. He just needs to do it week in and week out.

8. Graham Harrell, Texas Tech
Height: 6'2 - Weight: 196
Harrell is next years Colt Brennan. Scout will want to know if he's a system QB, or if he can get it done at the NFL level.

9. Curtis Painter, Purdue
Height: 6'4 - Weight: 223
When he's on, Painter is as good as any QB in this group. The problem is he's too streaky, not just from game to game, but from quarter to quarter.

10. Colt McCoy, Texas
Height: 6'3 - Weight: 205
McCoy needs to rebound from an interception plagued season in 2007. If he can return to his 2006 form he one of the best in the country.

11. Pat White, West Virginia
Height: 6'2 - Weight: 185
Pat White will likely move to wide receiver in the NFL. Unless, he shows he can sit in the pocket and make all the throws in a pro QB's arsenal.

Running Backs

1. Chris 'Beanie' Wells, Ohio State
Height: 6'1 - Weight: 225
Wells has the size and speed to be a feature back in the NFL. He will be a top ten pick in 2009.

2. C.J. Spiller, Clemson
Height: 5'11 - Weight: 190
Spiller is the fastest running back in this class. He will be at his best as part of a tandem back system in the NFL. He can also return kicks, and is an excellent third down option.

3. Knowshon Moreno, Georgia
Height: 5'11 - Weight: 207
Moreno reminds me of a Mike Hart type of running back. He's not the strongest guy or the fastest, but put him in pads and he'll get the job done.

4. James Davis, Clemson
Height: 5'11 - Weight: 205
Davis is a quality second or third round type of running back, but C.J. Spiller's emergence will cost him carries next season.

5. Javarris James, Miami (Fl.)
Height: 6'0 - Weight: 211
Edgerrin James' cousin has a nice combination of size, speed and hands at the running back position.

6. Javon Ringer, Michigan State
Height: 5'9 - Weight: 200
Javon Ringer will make a nice change of pace back in the NFL. He's extremely dangerous if he can get on the edge.

7. Keiland Williams, LSU
Height: 5'11 - Weight: 223
Williams should finally get enough opportunities at LSU to prove he's an every down back.

8. Marlon Lucky, Nebraska
Height: 6'0 - Weight: 210
Marlon Lucky is a solid all around back with good hands. He'll make a fine second tem option and could develop into a feature back with time.

9. Anthony Allen, Louisville
Height: 6'1 - Weight: 232
Allen is a big, bruising runner and a touchdown machine. He's much faster than expected for his size.

10. P.J. Hill, Wisconsin
Height: 5'11 - Weight: 227
P.J. Hill will be a nice goal line back in the NFL. He's a good down hill runner, and can spell a starter for stretches during the game.

Wide Receivers

1. Michael Crabtree, Texas Tech
Height: 6'3 - Weight: 222
His numbers are inflated by Texas Tech's system, but Crabtree is a Calvin Johnson-esque type of talent. He has the size, speed and hands to be a number one receiver in the NFL.

2. Darrius Heyward-Bey, Maryland
Height: 6'3 - Weight: 195
Heyward-Bey is the second best receiver in this class, and we haven't even scratched the surface yet. The sky is the limit for this prospect.

3. Percy Harvin, Florida
Height: 5'11 - Weight: 181
Harvin might be the next Steve Smith. He's the kind of receiver that doesn't have to run a deep route to get the ball down field.

4. Jeremy Maclin, Missouri
Height: 6'1 - Weight: 185
Maclin will make some team a nice number two receiver, or possibly a slot man. He will however, be a huge factor in the return game.

5. Brandon LaFell, LSU
Height: 6'3 - Weight: 205
LaFell may have stolen some of Early Doucet's thunder in 2007. It seems like every time LSU needed a big catch the ball went LaFell's way.

6. Oderick Turner, Pittsburgh
Height: 6'3 - Weight: 200
Oderick Turner has been very productive in his short collegiate career. He has great size and speed, and just needs one more season to show he can be a consistent threat on the outside.

7. Jaison Williams, Oregon
Height: 6'4 - Weight: 243
Williams will be 2009's Dustin Keller. He's a wide receiver, tight end hybrid who could cause serious mismatches in the slot for some NFL team.

8. Brian Robiskie, Ohio State
Height: 6'3 - Weight: 195
Robiskie might be the best route runner in this class. He needs to show scouts he has the speed to stretch defenses.

9. Derrick Williams, Penn State
Height: 6'0 - Weight: 203
Williams is an extremely talented receiver and return man, but hasn't ever put a full season of solid production together. If Penn State finds a quarterback who can make use of his skills, he'll shoot up draft boards.

10. Patrick Turner, USC
Height: 6'5 - Weight: 220
Turner is a big, physical wide out who hasn't shown us much at USC. If he can put together a solid season he could go in the second round.

Tight Ends

1. Chase Coffman, Missouri
Height: 6'6 - Weight: 245
Coffman is a huge target and a good blocker. He will need to add a little weight to block in the NFL.

2. Cornelius Ingram, Florida
Height: 6'4 - Weight: 230
Ingram is yet another WR/TE hybrid. He's at his best split out in the slot, and isn't much of a blocker.

3. Travis Beckum, Wisconsin
Height: 6'4 - Weight: 221
Beckum is a better blocker than his size would indicate, but he'll be getting paid because of his fantastic hands.

4. Brandon Pettigrew, Oklahoma State
Height: 6'6 - Weight: 260
Not as fast as these little tight ends, but Pettigrew has the size to play every down on the line of scrimmage. He has good hands, but lacks elite speed for the position.

5. Tony Moeaki, Iowa
Height: 6'4 - Weight: 255
Moeaki will benefit from having a young QB who will look for him as his safety valve. He's not the biggest or fastest tight end, but he's a relentless blocker.

Centers

1. Alex Mack, California
Height: 6'5 - Weight: 300
Alex Mack would have been the top center in 2008, if he hadn't decided to return to California.

2. Antoine Caldwell, Alabama
Height: 6'4 - Weight: 288
Caldwell is built for a zone blocking scheme, because of hi small frame and good speed.

3. A.Q. Shipley, Penn State
Height: 6'1 - Weight: 293
Shipley has looked solid at Penn State against the big, physical defensive linemen of the Big Ten.


Offensive Guards

1. Duke Robinson, Oklahoma
Height: 6'5 - Weight: 330
Duke Robinson couyld have been the top guard taken in the 2008 draft, if he entered. Robinson will be a force on the interior for whatever team drafts him.

2. Jeremy Perry, Oregon State
Height: 6'2 - Weight: 324
Perry is equally adept at run and pass blocking. He's not as physically imposing as the others on this list, but his technique is outstanding.

3. Kraig Urbik, Wisconsin
Height: 6'6 - Weight: 330
Urbik is still a work in progress, but he's a fantastic run blocker. Urbik will only get better as next season goes on.

4. Herman Johnson, LSU
Height: 6'7 - Weight: 351
By far and away the biggest guard on this list, Johnson is an imposing figure on the interior.

5. Steve Rehring, Ohio State
Height: 6'8 - Weight: 345
Rehring is yet another solid Ohio State lineman. The Buckeye blockers aren't always the biggest or fastest, but they make very few mistakes.


Offensive Tackles

1. Michael Oher, Ole Miss
Height: 6'5 - Weight: 325
Michael Oher is a big physical tackle, who would have been a first round draft pick this year.

2. Phil Loadholt, Oklahoma
Height: 6'8 - Weight: 352
Loadholt is a huge tackle, who could develop into one of the best tackle in the NFL.

3. Alex Boone, Ohio State
Height: 6'8 - Weight: 325
Alex Boone contemplated entering the draft this year, but will be a first round selection in 2009.

4. Andre Smith, Alabama
Height: 6'5 - Weight: 333
Smith is extremely quick for his size. He's slowly lost a lot of weight in Nick Saban's new work out program, which has benefited his play

5. Max Unger, Oregon
Height: 6'5 - Weight: 306
Max Unger will be the best zone blocking tackle in the 2009 draft.

Defensive Tackles

1. Fili Moala, USC
Height: 6'4 - Weight: 295
Moala has good speed and pass rushing moves at the defensive tackle position. He tops the list because he can play in the cover two, the 4-3, or play end in the 3-4.

2. Al Woods, LSU
Height: 6'5 - Weight: 324
Al Woods is the only true nose tackle on this list. He's big, and has a good motor. Woods will help any 3-4 defense at the nose tackle.

3. DeMarcus Granger, Oklahoma
Height: 6'3 - Weight: 300
Every year, Granger loses a little weight and gets a little quicker. He's a penetrating tackle who gets into the back field regularly.

4. Terrence Taylor, Michigan
Height: 6'0 - Weight: 310
Taylor is very quick for his size, and has the best technique of any defensive tackle on this list.

5. Sen'Derrick Marks, Auburn
Height: 6'1 - Weight: 291
Yet another quick defensive tackle, who would fit perfectly into a cover 2 scheme.


Defensive Ends

1. Tyson jackson, LSU
Height: 6'5 - Weight: 292
Jackson is a huge defensive end who can play in the 4-3 or the 3-4.

2. George Selvie, South Florida
Height: 6'4 - Weight: 255
George Selvie will have to move to outside linebacker in the NFL. He could turn out to be one of the better 3-4 pass rushers in the NFL, if he continues to improve.

3. Michael Johnson, Georgia Tech
Height: 6'7 - Weight: 250
Michael Johnson has good speed, but lacks a true NFL position. He'll need to bulk up his 6'7 frame to play defensive end in the pros.

4. Ian Campbell, Kansas State
Height: 6'5 - Weight: 242
Campbell is another prospect who will likely have to move to the 3-4 outside linebacker position in the NFL.

5. Gereg Middleton, Indiana
Height: 6'3 - Weight: 275
Greg Middleton is a great 4-3 end prospect with an array of pass rushing moves.

Inside Linebackers

1. James Laurinaitis, Ohio State
Height: 6'3 - Weight: 244
Laurinaitis would have been a top 15 pick in 2008, but went back to chase the National Title. He's outstanding against the run and the pass, and is always in position to make a play.

2. Rey Maualaga, USC
Height: 6'3 - Weight: 252
Maualaga also would have been a first round pick this year. He's not quite as technical as Laurinaitis, but he's way more physical.

3. Brandon Spikes, Florida
Height: 6'3 - Weight: 243
Spikes is a virtual clone of former Gator Channing Crowder. He plays the run as well as any ILB in college, but needs to improve his coverage skills.

4. Darry Beckwith, LSU
Height: 6'1 - Weight: 232
Beckwith is a solid linebacker, but will have to move outside in the NFL. He plays inside out of necessity at LSU.

5. Jasper Brinkley, South Carolina
Height: 6'2 - Weight: 257
Jasper Brinkley as the ability and experience to play inside linebacker in a 4-3, outside linebacker in the 3-4, and could even play defensive end on passing downs in the 4-3.


Outside Linebackers

1. Brian Cushing, USC
Height: 6'4 - Weight: 245
Brian Cushing is a big outside linebacker, with great speed. He can play inside and out, and is equally adept at blitzing and dropping into coverage.

2. Sean Lee, Penn State
Height: 6'2 - Weight: 232
Sean Lee is following in the footsteps of Posluszny and Connor. He's not the flashiest guy, he just racks up tackles.

3. Marcus Freeman, Ohio State
Height: 6'2 - Weight: 242
Freeman is another big OLB, who moves well for his size. He can play inside if needed. Freeman is at his best when he drops into coverage.

4. Maurice Crum Jr., Notre Dame
Height: 6'0 - Weight: 230
Maurice Crum Jr. is a heady playmaker on the edge. He always seem to take the right angle, and is a sound tackler in the open field.

5. Anthony Heygood, Purdue
Height: 6'2 - Weight: 230
Anthony Heygood played outstanding for the Boilermakers this season. He's a converted running back who will only get better.

Safeties

1. Taylor Mays, USC
Height: 6'4 - Weight: 225
Taylor Mays' combination of size and speed is almost unbelievable. He can get in the box and stop the run, but is just as good in coverage.

2. Myron Rolle, Florida State
Height: 6'2 - Weight: 215
Myron Rolle is the most technically sound saftey in this group. He doesn't make mistakes, and hits much harder than his size would indicate.

3. Kam Chancellor, Virginia Tech
Height: 6'3 - Weight: 220
Chancellor is a lot like Taylor Mays. He's a huge safety with ridiculous speed for his size. He needs just a little work on his coverage, but he'll be an early pick.

4. William Moore, Missouri
Height: 6'1 - Weight: 215
William Moore is an outstanding playmaker in the secondary. He's fantastic at playing center field and jumping routes to pick off passes.

5. Kevin Ellison, USC
Height: 6'1 - Weight: 220
Ellison is the other half of the best safety tandem in college football. He loves to get in the box and help in run support, but is plenty solid in coverage.


Cornerbacks

1. Malcolm Jenkins, Ohio State
Height: 6'1 - Weight: 202
Malcolm Jenkins would have been a first rounder in 2008, but came back to chase a National Title. He's got outstanding size and speed, and can play man, press, and zone.

2. Victor Harris, Virginia Tech
Height: 6'0 - Weight: 195
Victor Harris has good size for an NFL corner. He's a ballhawk, who can also return kicks for a team.

3. Vontae Davis, Illinois
Height: 6'0 - Weight: 205
Davis is a blur for his size. He can press receivers as well as anyone in this class, because he has the speed to recover if he's beat.

4. Wopamo Osaisai, Stanford
Height: 5'11 - Weight: 200
Osaisai will be one of the faster corners in next years draft. He has good ball skills, and is big enough to press when asked to.

5. Mike Mickens, Cincinnati
Height: 6'0 - Weight: 165
Mickens has fantastic hands. He seems to always make the play when the ball gets to him. He's also a good return man, but will have to get bigger to hold up to NFL punishment.
