List products here that you have personal experience with that you would recommend to anyone. List the reasons why this product is so great.

I'll start with the Nissan stainless coffeee mug.

http://www.amazon.com/Thermos-Nissan-18-Ounce-Stainless-Steel-Insulated/dp/B0000639WN/ref=pd_bbs_sr_4?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1210912419&sr=8-4

The best thing about this bad boy is the flip top. In the down position it keeps your coffee from spilling. In the up position, you can hold the mug between your teeth, keeping both hands free to carry stuff, open doors, etc. Also holds 18 oz of coffee and will keep it hot all morning long. Stainless steel and plastic contruction assist in sanitation.

I recently got a puppy and a new wooden fence at the same time. When I let the puppy out to use the bathroom, I worried about someone coming to the gate and letting the puppy out. I set the alarm about 20 foot from the gate and let it warn me when someone is coming. This allows me to call the dog away from the gate. I set the alarm in the house and leave the window cracked. I can hear the alarm in the garage or backyard too.

I would not use this device for security purposes, for it does tend to go off a couple of times a day or night (false alarms) on its own. On the other hand if a stranger tries to sneak into the backyard, I will be alerted. The alarm is just a couple of beeps with two volume settings. I found an ac adapter laying around the house thats works with the receiver, so all I need is a 9volt battery for the eye.

This is the cheapest one I have seen. I bought 2 for when this one quits working down the road. :thumb:

Saiga 7.62x39 = a 'sporting' AK 47, made at the Izhmash factory in Russia. Tough, cheap, reliable. Plus no 'pistol grip' to twist the panties of your Brady Bunch (who are prone to outlawing things based on how they look, not how they work)

Mora knives. Made in Sweden. 98% of your purchase price goes to a good blade with an easy-to-sharpen Scandi grind (saber grind) with 1% each going to the handle and sheath. Cuttin' sonsabeeches. Cheap enough to keep one in your tool box, one in your car trunk, etc... Old viking proverb "A knifeless man is a lifeless man". And your old viking would know.

The other does really well but still ****s up every once in awhile. I once had a very cool, old-fashioned apple peeler. I think I lost it in a move, but it was awesome. If memory serves, I believe it came from Williams-Sonoma - kind of a retro, throwback deal.

It had a vice-clamp thing you used to attach it to a table or counter. Then, it had a spit-like thing onto which you impaled the apple of your choice. Then, it had a spring-loaded peeler attachment deal that applied peeler pressure to the apple. Then, you turned the crank which spun the apple. Then, after a bunch of turns, you had a peeled apple. Worked great when you were making fresh, homemade, apple pie.

Oh, toilet paper on a roll, you are the very best,
'Cause when you come back white I know I've passed the asswipe test.
You're always there to help me and take good care of my rump,
For without you I'd be up shit's creek when I take a big dump.

I'd have to use a pencil, my finger, or some gum.
Or maybe I'd just walk around with stinky on my bum.
But I don't have to worry, for you are always there
To help free me from skidmarks and a dark brown derriere.

Because of you I need not use my t-shirt or my scarf.
And when my girl goes down on me I know that she won't barf.
Ah, my keister is immaculate, and your virtues I extol,
For my hindquarters are pristine. Thanks, TP on a roll.

Without Pandora I wouldn't have my new favorite German song. Someone walked past my cube the first time it was playing, and saw me cracking up, but hey, the song has grown on me...

A combination of just a few common things from your enviroment can produce an outstanding product.

Beer, cooler, ice, and rock salt.

Mix the rock salt and ice in the cooler. Add the beer. Wait 30 mins..........The coldest beer you will ever drink.

High thread-count sheets.

Also high post-count threads (over 100 FTW).Those are a great investment. I have a bed in the bag set, but we swapped out the sheets it came with for 300-count sheets, and it's great. It's the difference between sleeping on sandpaper or a cloud.

I got this for Christmas a couple of years ago. It's probably the most useful gift I've ever received.

You've got the right idea, but this is superior. not only don't we need to carry keys, but we don't need to fumble with them to get in.

This is a "must buy" on the order of one of Phobia's special toilets.

I was playing with one of those at Lowe's the other night. So, let me ask you something about them. I assume they are battery operated, correct? What kind and how many? How long do they last? What happens when the batteries run out? Do you just have to use your key when the batteries are dead?

Now that I think about it, I have something better. MP3 players. And here is my Zune 30gb. I absolutely love this thing.
