I was just talking to a friend of mine about this. He doesn't know of anyone who has received one yet, and I also haven't heard anybody I know mention receiving theirs.

Have you got yours yet?

We received the direct deposit for $1200 if that counts. But no check. :D

Are you talking about a paper check specifically, as opposed to direct deposit?

I mean get the money, by check or otherwise.

I don't file electronically, so personally I'm waiting on actual checks.

I'd PM RainMan and ask him.

But to answer your question, no, I haven't heard of an actual stimulus check being delivered in the mail yet.

Haven't you heard? The first two mailings bankrupted the system. There is no more free $ available. Glad I got mine on that second mailing!

Actually, I don't think anyone has recieved a stimulus check yet. Everyone that's gotten them so far did through direct deposit. If you opted for a refund by DD then yours is either in your bank acount or should be in the next week or so. Mailouts begin in June.

If filing or preparation fees were deducted from your 2007 refund or if you obtained a refund anticipation loan or other bank product related to your regular tax refund, you will receive a check instead of a direct deposit

THIS IS BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Probably shouldn't though. We're getting married in a very old church. I think we could get in trouble if we blew it up.

Speaking of postage....I'm very pissed at the USPS. They raised the price of stamps without my knowledge and sent a check back to me because I was lacking one penny of the postage. The really bad thing....apparently I mailed the check the day they raised the price!! Why the hell isn't there a grace period, or at least a press release?! Thankfully, the company I mailed the check to allowed me a grace period, so the payment wasn't late.

I use Turbo Tax and if you paid the charges from your return it doesn't matter if you did direct deposit or not, you will be treated as a check customer. I did direct deposit but since I paid the prep fees out of my return I will be waiting until July. If I would have paid for the fees with my credit card then I would have already received the money. It sucks, but I didn't know about this when I filed.

Never doubt that a small group of people who like explosives and are ignorant of the law can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.

Got mine a couple of weeks ago. Couple of pairs of glasses for the kid and repairs to my truck and it's pretty well gone.

Course, if I hadn't gotten it when I did, that would have been money out of the family budget, so the timing was perfect. Just wish I could have held onto it for a tad longer.

According to the schedule. I was supposed to have mine directly deposited on 5/16. I received a letter on 5/17 saying I should have received it on 5/16, and it listed some number to contact if I don't receive it within six weeks.

$1200 was deposited to our account last week. Yesterday we received an explanation of benefits. For some reason they didn't account for our 12 year old son whom we claim as an exemption.

I think they screwed me out of $300 and gave it to Rain Man because he's been complaining so much.

No, because the current system screws the middle class. Enough change to enoy life, but not enough to exploit rich man loopholes. But of course the welfare class gets to buy Thunderbird and blunts. I'll pay their wage in taxes this year while they cash their food stamps on fillet and beer. Sorry, had to rant. Can't wait for the season to start. God bless a free Chiefs Planet!

I got mine last friday. Direct Deposit.

I know a couple of people that only got half of what they were suppose to get according to the paper and H&R Block. When they went to H&R Block and ask they were told that it was because they had gotten earned income credit. That they were finding out that the IRS was only doing one adult and one child instead of both on those that got earned income credit.

I filed my taxes online and had direct deposite... but for some reason this BS has to be mailed to me for some reason.. so now I don't get it until July 11. I don't know if I'm getting $300 or $600 either... Damn my life!

Got mine last week. Bought a king size temper-pedic.

Forgot to mention that the wife then spent another 4K on the head and foot board, two dressers and two night stands. Oh yeah, and two $100 temper pedic pillows, a $100 mattress pad, two sets of sheets, comforters and all the crap that goes with those.

Yes, direct deposited in last Friday. Bought the following:

28 inch LCD / Monitor.

And..

http://images.tigerdirect.com/skuimages/large/HP-m8120n-H25-C674-main.jpg
HP Pavilion m8200n - media center pc

Both I got for a really good deal. I've been using my laptop as my only machine at home, but lately have wanted to setup a home network and server, and have a digital filing cabinet for all my important papers so I can simply scan them in and not have to keep the hard copies. Plus, I wanted something that I could use for messing around with digital media. So I'm gonna set this up and use the monitor for my tv in my room also.
