Got a baby owl sitting straight up in our driveway. It was sitting in my driveway, looked like a stuffed bird, it's so damn cute,I'm having a hard time keep'n the yung'ns away .It would appear the maiden voyage came up on the short end from the timber to the tree in our front yard. She is scared out of her mind with so much attention so I boxed her / it up to keep the kids & so that the local yard dogs do not get her for lunch.

I do not know which tree it came from or where the mother is, so I called the local Fish & Wildlife authorities, they can't get to it till this evening.

I used to have a pet owl when I was a kid. My brother caught it and built a huge cage out of chicken wire, like 10'x10'.

Owl season evidently. 2:30 this morning, I hear the dogs go wild. Then the scream. I run downstairs to check on my daughter, she is asleep. It is a damn screech owl. Unbelievable scream/screech that went on for over an hour. Can you put antifreeze in a tree?
