:( RIP. Some of the funniest stuff I've ever seen on TV was him trying to keep a straight face while Conway was ad libing scenes.

:( RIP. Some of the funniest stuff I've ever seen on TV was him trying to keep a straight face while Conway was ad libing scenes.

He and Lyle Waggoner playing the straight to Tim Conway and Carol Burnett's antics are classics. Hard to find good comedy these days to match that.

RIP Harvey.....

He's made me laugh my entire life. This is the first time he's made me sad....

The Carol Burnett Show would not have been the same without him.

Agreed. Probably wouldnt get made in todays overly PC/overly sensitive society.

"I've decided to launch an attack that will reduce Rock Ridge to ashes...I want you to round up every vicious criminal and gunslinger in the West. Take this down: I want rustlers, cut-throats, murderers, bounty hunters, desperadoes, mugs, pugs, thugs, nit-wits, half-wits, dim-wits, vipers, snipers, con-men, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, muggers, buggerers, bush-whackers, horn-swagglers, horse-thieves, bull-dykes, train-robbers, bank-robbers, ass-kickers, shit-kickers, and Methodists!"

RIP Harvey. You were a hilarious guy.

That show was one of the best ever for improv and sketch comedy. I love it when they have that infomercial with Tim Conway selling the DVDs. Brings back so many memories.

Waiting for the DVDs to be released in a set though.

The Carol Burnett Show was why the SNL crew considered them selves "Not Ready for Prime Time".

"Count De Money, Count De Money"..............

"Thats DE MONET"

Insolent Flunky: Count yer money.
Count de Monet: Count de Monet!

Count de Monet: My Lord, you look just like the piss-boy!
King Louis XVI: And you look like a bucket of shit!

History of the World Part 1 was a classic

No shit. Perhaps one in three (if that many) of the "classic" SNL skits were as funny as a TYPICAL Carol Burnett bit.

A very under-rated comedy artist. Consistantly funny from the Carol Burnet show to Mel Brooks.

He was such a great straight man for Tim Conway. It was always funny how he tried not to laugh at Tim Conway during most of the sketches. He very seldom succeeded.

It's just me I am sure...but the reason they were better was that they weren't trying to make you laugh by pushing the boundaries of good taste, but they were funny because they were just trying to make you laugh with them.

Agreed. I loved that show as a kid. Conway would do his best to make the rest of the cast lose it... those were the funniest skits of all.

Korman = comic master. RIP
