No one gives a shit about the Rangers. They're gonna have to be serious playoff competitors for anyone to show up. This is the best team in years at .500 or so, but they're still 7 games back.

I understand, I was just shocked considering it was a Friday night and the stadium is located smack dab in between Dallas and Fort Worth which probably has 3x the population of KC.

Who? Name the last relief pitcher, drafted by this team, that was worth a shit. They have a couple of decent starting prospects, acquired by trade, but that's why this organization is a joke.

This year seems like a good draft, though. KC is giving a lot of money to sign its 4th and 7th round picks (talented players who dropped because of signability concerns), so this could be the start of something...

Typical... Jose Guillen might speak some truth about the loser mentality in the club house. When you lose like this tonight and drop as many as we have in a row, it has to be some sort of player chemistry issue. These guys are the best talent wise but they aren't this bad.

Defensive mistakes cost the royals 5 runs, smart teams dont do this and i think we have stupid asses that we need to get rid of and get some guys in here. Trey can bark up and down and have them practice like no other on the basics, but somethings missing upstairs on some of our guys....

Guillen is the only all star on this team next to soria....

Royals have a tendency of ****ing up and going back to standards. That 12 game losing streak didn't help at all....we were going well till we got no hit...they don't have that mentality yet to bounce back and play hard

Playing at what level? The pitching was outstanding early in the season, but the team wasn't scoring any runs. That's not going to work.

Usually this season KC has been losing like a ML team, which I guess is progress considering how freaking bad the organization has been for the last decade, but this is far from acceptable.

Yeah, ok. Teahen would be a fine bench player. If you're lucky you might get ONE A-ball prospect. Maybe.

Improvement by attrition. I don't think a team would give anything for Teahen. If we waived him, a team might pick him up and that's about all.

Gload would get more interest than Teahen in the middle of the year. Same thing with Grudz, and both should be moved if at all possible.

I think Teahen can start for some teams in the OF or 3rd base. I really don't care who or what we get for them just get them out of here. We need to purge the old attitude. DeJesus is about the only one worth a shit of the "old royals". Grudzy is a stud but will be gone soon. Someone would take him. Or say **** it and bench him. I would after his performance tonight regardless of his recent play. That was two shit efforts by him tonight. And Buck with the passsed balls. His bat is avg at best, he has little power, his arm sucks......wtf do you keep him in the lineup?

We'll have to agree to disagree. If he's not good enough for the Royals, that's not saying much.

What would I do? Not too many options. The problem is that tonight's line-up, save for the fact that I want Callaspo playing instead of Grudz (time for the future and not the past), is the best the Royals have. It's pretty bad. Maybe when Butler returns, Teahen will sit. But that assumes that Gathright continues to play and watching him at the plate is almost as bad as watching the automatic out who used to play SS.

We can thank the Glass family for running this organization into the ground since the late 90's. Hey, but at least David Glass tried to change the economic structure of the game!

Since Dayton's come on board, especially after this year's draft, it looks like things might be changing, but we're still probably 3 years (maybe 2 years) away from having real hope.

I have no problems with Gathright at the moment. He leads the AL in SAC bunts and plays solid D. He is not an automatic out as Pena was.

It's very close. The guy can't hit. His approach at the plate is terrible. He's all arms and off balance, resulting in zero power. Furthermore, and this is the real problem, his OBP is below .300, and for a "speed" guy, that's all one needs to know. Leading the league in sacrifice bunts is not something you want out of a 1 or 9-hole hitter.

His defense is overrated. When he stops bobbling balls all the time, I'll say he's better.

Gathright needs to still learn how to hit...we still have a weak ass OF, no room for DDJ and him honestly...

I hope butler can come back up and be the hitting machine he was last year.

I remember when I brought up trading Teahen last year and you guys ripped me for it.
