Anyone have braces?

Got them Tuesday morning, still can't eat anything solid. They are about to drive me crazy. I have taking about 25 Advil since. Anyone else remember getting them or have them? How long until you could eat solid food?

Had them when I was a kid, my teeth always hurt for a day or two after they were tightened but other than that it was no big deal.

it's all worth it in the end! make sure you brush well and waterpick and what not, I've seen people with brown dots on their teeth after they got their braces removed.

Haha, i'm just asking because I have a big camp the next 3 days and I wouldn't have the soreness before I get knocked for 3 days.

when the braces are initially put on it can hurt for a week or even more. after that; it only hurts a day or two after each tightening. anyway, stick it out. you'll be alright soon.

oh. and i got punched in the mouth once the day after a tightening...

Why can't you eat solid food? I was 12 when I got braces, and I went right out to McDonalds and had biscuts with sausage gravy.

Anyway, food got stuck in them, but there was no problem. The only foods I had to avoid were like gum and stuff. And Starbursts, those things are like braces kryptonite.

Well I have braces and the first time I got them on it hurt pretty bad for about a week. Since then it's only usually the next day after a checkup.

Random question - But are you by chacne going to a football camp? If so, which one?
