that movie creeped me out the first time I saw it; I think I was 8-9 and it had to be in 78 or something.

Awesome. I was watching the first Alien the other day, and came to the conclusion that I like the old special effects way better than CGI.

Awesome. I was watching the first Alien the other day, and came to the conclusion that I like the old special effects way better than CGI.

Both can be effective if used properly. The problem with CGI is that alot of filmakers have used it as a crutch to replace practical effects.

Plus they create these wild action scenes in CGI with zero basis in the laws of physics. It ends up making everything look fake and unrealistic.

Yeah, my mind kind of rejects CGI as reality.

Me too. It's really quite sad. I enjoy the space battle in Return of the Jedi better than ANYTHING in the prequels. It's not even close.
