WAAAAAAAYYYY too long. Needed to edit the music, and make it about 1 min likea real trailer. Not bad though.

ROFL Pretty good. It's amazing what you can do with a little editing and an ominous soundtrack.

It's sad when <5 minutes is way to long. I could see it being slow in areas, but it is hardly too long.

That was impressive. If you'd never seen it, from that preview you sure as hell wouldn't think it was comedy.

It also proves how comedy is so much better when it's played straight. The fact that you could cut it together into a drama shows how good the acting was and how the dramatic abilities of the actors really underscored and enhanced the comedy.

I also think that the best "serious" movies are played by comedians, for example "Stranger than Fiction".

Can't help but think that the best slow songs are played by rockin bands that have pulled back into a ballad, either.

If nothing else, these parody trailers prove just how big a role music and editing play in the filmaking process. How each scene can be manipulated by them.

Awesome.

I love that piece of music too - anyone know who composed it?

I know that Paul Oakenfold did a version of it a while back...

Which one? The Superbad one or the Ferris one?

The Ferris one starts out as Clint Mansell's Lux Eterna from Requiem for a Dream. However, about half way in it turns into Requiem for a Tower. It was used in the Two Towers trailer as well as many other videos. It's pretty famous and is merely a remixed version of Clin Mansell's work. You should be able to find that on Limewire or something.

That the original composer?

The version on RFAD was done by the Chronos String Quartet, who are also worth a good limeware search...

Clint Mansell composed it. It was performed by the Kronos Quartet. Which, are damn good and I regret missing while at KU. I hope they come back.
