I wouldn't trust it if that man told me the sun was going to rise in the East tomorrow, but that, I can believe.

For some reason everytime they show Luke Hochevar's face this runs through my mind...

we got lucky there. Apparently the rules of baseball have changed: if the ball hits the palm of the glove on the fly, you are out. Retaining possession of the ball and keeping it from hitting the ground (ie a "catch") is strictly optional.

You just made Martin Scorsese, Vic Tayback, and possibly "Fire Me Boy!" cry. :p

It was the movie that inspired the TV series "Alice".

We now return you to your ballgame, already in progress.

Yes, 12 starts into his career, it is time to call him a bust. Not to mention the fact that he'd given up a total of 4 earned runs over 13 innings, allowing 14 hits, walking none and striking out 10 in his last two starts, both Royals wins.

Reaper16
06-21-2008, 12:34 AM
1.) Lincecum is a walking injury-risk. He WILL blow his arm the **** out at some point in the next two seasons. Miller isn't exactly lighting up the league, either. The jury is far from reaching a verdict on that debate.

2.) Who ever said Rosa sucks: sush up. He's a staring prospect who was brought to freshen up the bullpen a little bit. It's way too early for him to be in the majors right now; he needs another season and a half of AAA ball under him. He doesn't suck, he's just in over his head a little bit.

OmahaChief
06-21-2008, 07:10 AM
Another questionable move by Hillman last night. Bringing in Rosa with a tie game and the bases loaded. Rosa had only one inning of major league work and for his second shot he gives the rook that scenario? Bad mistake. That is where you bring in Mahay and hope he can get us out of the inning at least only down by one. I know Mahay is now a back of the bully guy but our middle relief is more like middle grief. We need Nunez back soon so we can move everyone back one inning.

Al Bundy
06-21-2008, 08:17 AM
This was a bad loss all the way around.. Luke made the Giants look like an offensive dynasty in the making and the rest.... well just sucked. The Royals had a chance to make an impression on some fans that might not normally go but they laid an egg big time. The thing that concerned me with Luke was that he lost his stuff in 1 pitch and instantly became a girl out there.
