Mulder to start Wednesday

I'm not sure about that decision by the Cards...I know most of the hits he gave up in his relief appearances were bloop jobs, but he still looked pretty shaky.

Curious decision...we'll see how it works.

Albert hits one to the track with 2 on, but caught. Bats being quieted, so far by the lefty. Still 2-0

Marshall has a pretty sick curveball today. I'm very surprised he's pitching so well.

Big series for the Cubs, but I think both CHC and STL better be worried about the Brewers with their new addition CC Sabathia. If Fielder comes around they will be awesome.

I also think the Cubs will add a SP like Derrick Lowe or AJ Burnett, and I like to see them add an OF to their bench.

The Cards have been so banged up getting those guys back will be huge for them, but I think they need to go grab a bat to solidify their lineup.

wow. imagine how good that guy will be in the national league.

i predicted the brewers would win the division before the season started, and that solidifies my prediction.

:spock: The Brewers have not acquired Sabathia yet. Right now it is just a rumor that the teams are in trade talks.

Burnett or Harden.

Pasta Little Brioni

AJ Burnett is VERY inconsistent. Sure the guy can be dominant at times, but he puts up too many stinkers. Harden can never stay healthy, but I hope the Cubs don't get him.

true..but inconsistent will be better than the consistent suck marquis is every year after the break

Cook from Colorado would be another good option

Well you definately have a point with the Marquis thing. Cook isn't as flashy, but would probably cost alot less in terms of what you would have to give up and he'd probably win more games for Chicago then "Wild Thing" Burnett.
