What ever happened to Callaspo. He doesn't play anymore. He was batting .300 but I was never sold on him. Sucked at defense too. But he was batting well. Did he get hurt?

Arested for a DUI, if I remember correctly. I think he is getting treatment/rehab.

Since when do you go to rehab for driving drunk? You got to be kidding me. I replaced my back license plate light tonight just so I will avoid a dewey tonight

I think you go to rehab for a dewey when you are being punished by a professional sports team. I don't think it was court mandated. In fact, I doubt he's had a trial yet.

isn't it great to see grown men jump around all giddy like that? Yet, beneath it all they are throwing some jabs into Dejesus rib cage..what a win! I was going to throw my tv if Billy Butler had swung on 3-0..

BWillie

This guy is a killer in scoring position. What has happened to him this year? He's hitting home runs. I wouldn't really call it power, it's more of timing. He pretty much only hits home runs out in the same area that he did. But then again so does Bonds. I heard the Minnesota announcers one time speculate because Guillen was now in the clubhouse that is why DDJ was hitting homers lol. YOu think he can hit 20? He's at 10 right now

BWillie
07-12-2008, 07:54 PM
And another thing...why don't we put Grudz at the #1 spot and DDJ at 2 or 3? Why utilize the guy with the best Batting Average with running in scoring position at least once a game where he has no runs to drive in?

On the other side... it kills me to see a warrior cry after a big loss. (Favre for example.)

That's what makes sports great, IMO.

How about no? Actually I like Grudz where he is at 5th. You can't pitch around Guillen so easy...provided Gordon quits whiffing.

Was that the first walk-off HR for the Royals since Mendy Lopez in 2004?

The Mendy home run was actually a tieing HR. Beltran hit the walk-off in that game. KCTV5 said the last walk-off nearly over a year ago. Forgot by who.

It's like Bizzarro world in my mind. The Royals are 9 games below .500 and I'm loving every minute of it. The Chiefs go 7-9 and I hate them and hope Carl dies in a fire.

We've been so, so, so bad in baseball for so long it's just fun to have a team that isn't the bad news bears again.

Ya, it is likely because the Chiefs have been there done that when it has come to having good regular season records, so the next step is to win some playoff games and win it all. Since the Royals have struggled for so long being even mediocre makes for a more enjoyable experience. Expectations are a bitch.
