Did you read some of the responses at the link. One guy mentions that he thinks there is another of these baby sculptures a little ways away like it is also crawling to the building. :eek:

When I was in Prague a few years ago, I also noticed a baby on the ground in the city, not far from the Tower, between buildings.

He is in the same position as the others and he faces the tower, like if he’s walking in it’s direction.

I wonder if there are some other babies in the city walking to the tower… it’s really creepy.

When I was traveling in Prague, our tour guide said that tower was a Eff You by the Soviets to the Czechs. Prague has such beautiful skyline, and wasn't damaged by WWII, so the Soviets wanted to stick this big eyesore there and like a 'ha ha, we pwn you.' Fortunately, it isn't in the heart of the city or anything. And I think the Czechs sort of got back at the Soviets by putting a high class restaurant on the top of it now, so capitalism could now rule this former symbol of communism.

Thats kind of odd...if the Czechs didnt like it they could have just demolished it.

Demolishing something like that can be dangerous without the proper technology--which is quite costly. Chances are that if Czech tried with anything less, they'd damage a lot of buildings around it.

Wasn't this after the invasion of Prague in the 60s because they were moving toward a more western social policy (you know, allowing for freedom of the press and all that).
