It appears he's doing training camp report updates there, so there actually is a reason to look.

Not bad, really. They way I look at it, any Chiefs news is better than no Chiefs news.

All the football info will still be free, though. The pay section will feature NSFW pics of Bob wearing various NFL themed thongs.

That was ****ing uncalled for and you should get at least a 2 day ban for even coming up with that thought.

July 27, 2008 - Bob Gretz |

From River Falls, Wisconsin

It was a warm, muggy afternoon in the northwoods as the Chiefs went through a workout that was just short of two hours in length. They were wearing shoulder pads but no football pants. The players heard from Herm Edwards several times during the practice about picking up their pace. Edwards drove home the point again to the players that because they do not have lengthy practices, when they are on the field, the players have to go as fast as they can. This young group is still grasping that fact.

The head coach was not very happy when he left the practice field.

The Chiefs offense and defense ran 43 plays of teamwork against each other. The defense looked good at times, but overall the offense was very sluggish. Essentially, the offense had 16 positive plays in those 43 plays. Positive is defined as a running play that broke into the second level of the defense or a completed pass. Quarterbacks were eight of 17 with at least two sacks and three dropped passes. Defensively, MLB Napoleon Harris and DE Brian Johnston had the sacks, DT T.J. Jackson had a stop in the backfield, as did DE Alfonso Boone. CB Brandon Flowers dropped a possible INT.

They finished up with a 7-on-7 drill which works the passing game for both sides of the ball. The defense has the linebackers and defensive backs on the field against the quarterback and five eligible receivers. Yes, I know that’s only six, but they still call it 7-on-7. Brodie Croyle was six for six in his time, with TE Tony Gonzalez his favorite target. Tyler Thigpen was three of four, while Damon Huard was one of four with an interception (picked off by rookie S Khayyam Burns.)

They’ve got two practices set for Monday.

They were wearing shoulder pads but no football pants.

There had to be some uncomfortable moments out there then. Especially when Brodie reached down to receive the snap.
