Wesley already injured with Raiders
It didn't take long for newly signed safety Greg Wesley to find the training room at the Oakland Raiders camp.
Wesley, who signed with Oakland earlier in the week after the Chiefs finally released him, was nowhere to be seen on the practice field Friday morning because of what coach Lane Kiffin termed "back spasms."

Wesley, wearing No. 22 with his dreadlocks protruding from his helmet, took part in the Raiders' first practice on Thursday but spent most of the team portion standing 30 yards behind the secondary, watching the schemes of his new club.

Wesley, who spent nearly nine years as the Chiefs' starting strong safety before the club implemented a youth movement last season, does not figure in the mix with Oakland.

The Raiders are set at safety with former first-round pick Michael Huff at strong safety and former New York Giant Gibril Wilson, who signed as un unrestricted free agent at free safety.

"We're just going give Greg a chance to make the team and see how far he
can take that," Raiders coach Lane Kiffin said. "Obviously this is very late to pick him up. We gave him the
veteran minimum contract so there's no risk on our behalf and it adds more
competition to the group."

And having Wesley's knowledge of the Chiefs _ whom the Raiders visit in week two of the season _ doesn't hurt either.

Who wrote that? A kindergartner?

New offensive coordinator, new offensive line, new QB, new scheme.

What knowledge could Wesley possibly impart? The color of Gunther's underwear?

Heh. He's gonna get cut from a league minimum contract.

He's a force to be reckoned with.

It seems the only people who think he might even be worth a roster spot, are some Chiefs fans on this board.

The end of another 32 defense participant, and rightfully so.
