Waaaaaa.

Former Chief wide receiver Samie Parker, whose career never got going here after being a fourth-round pick in 2004, thinks he may have found a home with the Denver Broncos.

“I felt it was the best situation for me to be in,” Parker said after practice last weekend. “The Broncos had Brandon Marshall, and he was pretty much the only guy they had here that was established.

“I know in Denver, the receivers are expected to make big plays. I want to keep that tradition going.”

Hmm. Receivers aren’t expected to make big plays here?

I don't see anything there that lends to sour grapes. If anything, he's knocking the Donks WRs saying Marshall's the only good one.

Sounds more like YOU have sour grapes than Samie. I don't see anything in that statement that's negative toward the Chiefs at all.

“I know in Denver, the receivers are expected to make big plays."

LOL Chiefs don't want big plays?!?!?!

LOL Chiefs don't want big plays?!?!?!

You dupe, he didn't say that. His quote wasn't, "I know in Denver, unlike Kansas City, the receivers are expected to make big plays."

Saying the Donks expect their WRs to make big plays does not imply that other teams don't want the same.

File this away under WGAF.

Parker is and was a non-entity.

Extreme reach, extreme.

I do think it was a mistake letting him go though, he was starting to get it.

That's not true. I trashed SP as much as the next guy but he stepped up his game in a large way last year.

I agree that the thread starter is reaching though. The premise of this thread is kinda dumb.

I don't know about all that. All I know is he was much better for the Chiefs last year than all the others combined.

I think he meant that last year Parker was better than all of his previous years combined.

Poor word choice on my part. Better than his previous years.

ah...ok...my bad.

My take on Parker: Hes not as bad as most make him out to be, but hes nothing special either.

Hes another Tim Barnett, Lake Dawson, Danan Hughes etc...the list goes on...any of them are interchangable.

Danan gave 8 years to this team. He was no superstar but he was a solid special teams contributor and 3rd/4th WR for a long time. I'll admit some bias because we talk but I think I'm being pretty accurate in my assessment.

Didnt mean it as a knock on Danan. I can appreciate the mostly unoticed (everyman work) of the average NFL player.

Just trying to say none of those guys were "special" players.

They are fairly interchangable and easily replaced from year to year.

Better != Good.

ROFL I just went to lunch, and they (Sirius NFL) were interviewing one of the other Denver receivers, Darnell Jackson, I think it was, came over from the 9ers.

He had at least 13 "know wut ahm sayin"'s! Hilarious, I thought of your post.

Last depth chart I saw, Parker wasn't even listed with the wide receivers. But he was 4th on the punt return team. The grapes might get even more sour.
