What do you think of him? If TB gets Favre, would you be interested in him? Throwing it out there for discussion.

Garcia is the type of QB the Chiefs used to end up getting, only not as talented. The Chiefs QB situation is set this year.

I would keep Garcia's (or any other available vet with some history of winning) number on speed dial in case Croyle goes down and Pigpen doesn't do anything. I think Huard is done.

Garcia will do decent anywhere. The he would be a good choice for the vikings

You are correct. I'd take Garcia over Huard I suppose.

if the chiefs had a chance to compete this year, then sure. but they are only gonna win about 2 games this year. garcia might raise that to 4 or 5. not really worth it.

I'm beginning to face the facts...

We're a 4-12 football team...I don't want to see us trade for anyone...lets just take the lumps of rebuilding...

You're ****ing stupid. We're a 4-12 football team with Garcia maybe, but with Croyle we're a supabowl contendah.

Only if they include Ryan Sims and Jimmy Wilkerson in a blockbuster package.

On a related note, though it might just be superficial fluff, but Faulk pinned Dorsey as the highest impact rookie for 08.

Also, and completely unrelated, Brodie was rockin' the camo Chiefs hat in an interview. Not much said, except to point out what I knew in the back of my mind. Brodie and LJ have never taken a regular season snap together.

I'd like Brodie to get a full chance, but if there are any questions, Garcia is just the type of get it done, scrambling, rumblin' bumblin' QB that could make CSooCS behind our O-line.

Yes, because as we have all learned, it is far better to win nothing and be in the position to draft the Tamba Hali's of the world than Derrick Thomas's.

I hope that I will need to eat crow but I don't think Brodie is the answer. I really think he is just a little above average as a passer but I also think he is injury prone and won't make it through a complete season. The thing is at this point in the rebuilding process he needs to be given a chance. If he fails then the FO should know what the priority is in next years draft, a QB. If he succeeds then I will need to look for some good crow recipes. The Chiefs do not need to bring in a QB that is close to being washed up. My vote is a big NO.

Regardless of whether or not Croyle is, Garcia is 100% not the answer, so why bring him in to a young team for another win or two that just kneecaps your draft position?

I agree. Give Croyle his chance, if he proves himself great. If not then we are looking at a great pick in next years draft to correct the situation.

This is the kind of move the team would have made in the past, but it is not the direction the team is going now. Just say no to retread QB's and you just might break the mediocrity cycle.
