Here's the Brodie Croyle highlight film from yesterday's game.

The last play features LJ scoring off a draw, and guess who breaks into the second level to negate none other than Brian ****ing Urlacher to spring LJ?

I really like Taylor. I don't think he's a starting LT in this league, but he's a solid run blocker with swift feet. I just don't think he is nimble enough to keep up with elite DEs. He is a serviceable backup LT, however. One that we could have for an extremely long time, maybe he could challenge Richardson for RT next year.

I think it was milkman and I who've been touting Taylor as a candidate to surprise some people this year. I hope Taylor sticks around for a long time on this team; I honestly don't remember the last time we had adequate depth on OL.

All the reports right now from fans and experts alike are that Richardson is a great runblocker but he hasn't displayed the swiftness just yet to be a great pass blocker.

Hell... that sounds like a guard to me!

Taylor is a tackle through and through. RT might be his gig, where he can take on more powerful DEs rather than swifter bastards at LT. I know it's just one game, but the possibilities are really exciting.

So you've determined that after one preseason game, he's not a LT "in this league"? WTF?

FWIW, Taylor was rated among the top 10 left tackles available in the 2007 draft by several credible draft sources and publications. Expecting a second year, 6th round draft to be the second coming of Willie Roaf is a expecting too much.

But it *appears* that it's "clicked" with Taylor and that he may become a solid LT for some NFL squad.

I don't think Taylor's really suited for this system. The Broncos might be able to use him. He's a good starter in a pinch for the Chiefs, though. He can certainly pass block.
