View Full Version : Other Sports Go Trojans!

The Chiefsplanet must adopt the USC Trojans this year.

My cousin, 44, Woidneck has committed to the Chiefs as his NFL team. We thus need to reciprocate with our support for the Trojans.

Don't let someone who has never even been in California in his life (Mecca) hijack the reputation of our great team.

Lets kick the shoot out of VG and then Ohio State (way to suspend players vs Ohio U and Troy.)

It's that inferiority complex I guess, I don't see 1 Chiefs fan on this board take any shit when several of them are in other states. I don't call them on their fan cards.

Collegiate football discussion is perfectly tolerable. I'm a KU grad, and I find the surprising number of SC fans on this board intolerable. Thus, every time we discuss college football, it is all directed toward countering the SC spam.

I will be 32 next month. I used to be a Rams fan when they were in L.A. I was born in Los Angeles. When they bolted, i kind of had to find a new team. I think i ditched the Rams right before they were going to go to STL though because i know they were leaving. By that time i hated the Niners/Raiders and to tell ya the truth, didnt even take a look at S.D lol I think i was watching a Raiders/Chiefs game on TV and DT and Okoye caught my eye.

Who gives a ****?

There are only 32 teams in the NFL. People from around the country are free to fall in love with whichever team they choose.

Same goes for college football. Only so many teams are broadcast across the country, even with the ESPN College Gameday package.

KU football has sucked forever, MU football has sucked forever and K-State football sucked, even when Snyder was there.

As much as I respect Snyder, the other regional programs and how much they've improved, Mecca doesn't live in a state where there are programs with massive tradition like Cal-Berkeley, Fresno State, Stanford, UCLA, Long Beach State and SD State, let alone USC.

That's like saying a kid growing up in New Mexico can't be a life-long fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers because he didn't grow up in Pittsburgh.

That's ****ing horseshit.

Yes, it would be nice to have had a Pro-Bowl safety these past few years. But given the Chiefs utter failure to draft a Pro Bowl running back since 1986, I think it was a wise move to trade back and take LJ.

I'm a little considered with Hazelton injuring his foot...it was great to see Damian I think he'll be huge this year and Ronald Johnson stepping up is a big sign.

I agree. Seemed like he had a lot of drops last year.

I think Mojo makes a good point. Besides, it's really tough rooting for Iowa. Have your cousin send me a USC hat and I'll pull for 'em.

Sure, I will root for the Trojans. The Topeka High Trojans. Except when they are playing the Seaman Vikings.

Viking Seaman?

I can't, in good faith, root for USC.

That's like rooting for the Yankees.

I'm a home town guy... I root for Mizzou, and the Chiefs...

For better or worse.

I watched the MU game and rooted for MU (while at the gym).

I root for KU and KSU as well.

I grew up in the KC Metro area and want to see all of those team succeed.

BUT.

I've lived in Los Angeles for 15 years and I have to acknowledge, USC isn't the same USC as when I grew up in Kansas. And while I won't go as far as saying they're a "Pro" team, they are very, very impressive. And they're good for the city.

But please, please, please, don't tell my wife. She's a UCLA grad and while we're hoping Nueheisel takes the program in the right direction, he's going to have to be a miracle worker to match USC.

In the meantime, USC is as close to the NFL as we've got out here. And in some cases, maybe pretty close.

They're a safe bet... an obvious choice for a front-running douche in need of a team.

i think it'd be a really good test for Chase Daniel, SC is basically an NFL defense with NFL caliber players.

I really want the guy to be an NFL QB... He seems to have everything it takes, other than height. He's a gamer, though... sadly, that doesn't seem to count for much.

If Greg wasn't the holder for PAT's and FG's he wouldn't have seen the field in the 1st 1/2.

Trojans looked great today.

OSU should be scared. They have to be at least 7 point dogs coming into this game. Probably more since Cook went down.

He got beat out by Corp but he's not complaining, so far he's been the complete opposite as he was portrayed....he's been nothing but class. When you realize the system he comes from transitioning to USC's offense which takes time anyway, he'll be ok.

The main reason he came to USC was to be prepared for the NFL in a pro system and not the spread.

I thought he went to USC because Arkansas wouldn't let him play and started that little Dick instead. And his mom caused a lot of trouble.

Mustain will have competition nipping at his heels from this kid who has comitted to USC. The number 1 recruit from Scouts will be the next in line.

Yea Barkley is a huge commit, but I'd be stunned if he was ready to play his RS freshman year, I expect Sanchez back for next year than Corp or Mustain that year after unless Barkley is ahead of the curve, it usually takes the QB's 2 years to be comfortable with the offense.

It probably doesn't matter much to you, but Buckeyes just got a verbal from Jamal Berry. Runs an official 4.31 forty.

Tulsa TV news tonight said they ad it on good authority that Pete Carroll would be in the NFL this time next year. What do you know about that? They also said the FBI is after Reggie Bush.

If Carroll was going to leave he'd have left for San Fran or San Diego....he's not leaving, people just like to throw that shit out year after year. If he didn't leave for local jobs he's not leaving.
