Just a quick question for anyone who knows. I was hoping this weekend's game was broadcast in HD.

Nah, not usually.

They're always pretty lousy quality, even for SD.

Depends on what cameras the coverage unit brings. The Bears were covered locally in HD, and NFL Network used their coverage.

If the schedule here is correct, the KC-AZ game is not HD [KCTV-5 covers]

EDIT: later showings of the KC-AZ game have an [HD] after, so I guess that's no help.

As BL said, the Bears game was broadcast in HD. I had to tolerate their homer announcers, but it was OK. I don't know if that is the rule or the exception. Seems like soon HD will be the norm.

I actually enjoyed it as their homers became disappointed homers.

The local radio guys were even worse. They were talking about how the "lowly" Chiefs wouldn't represent much of a challenge for the Bears. It was fun to listen to them fall all over themselves.

How lame is it that a QB two years removed from the Super Bowl is still playing in the third quarter of a preseason game? :D

I've seen some dumbass moves in my life in the NFL(insert Carl Peterson joke here) but how in the hell do the Bears justify keeping the likes of Grossman?

I don't know. He is the Kornheiser of NFL quarterbacks.

The Bears have been dealing with that QB for how many years now? Amazing.

I'm confused. I sure didn't have it in HD on Time Warner last week. (And I'm a local.)
