Denver's defense is gonna be TERRIBLE this season.

Not that Lynch would have changed that, I'm just saying in general. And I can't wait till we play them.

I think we win in Denver this season.

It's not like we'll be much better though. Like a cripple fight.

Optimism, a nice change from the other posts I've seen lately on this subject. :thumb:

Not that I'm upset with your optomism, but you really think we are that much better than Dungver to win there? Why do you say that? Not arguing, just interested.

I was watching PTI and they were talking about Brady saying he thinks they'll be better this year.

That would be scary!

It does not suck being the San Diego Chargers in the weak AFC west. It's going to be a long season. :(

Yeah it would be and they do have the weakest schedule in the NFL.

The Pats sure don't believe in speed. Good thing they've got a guy who knows ow to draw up defenses. Hopefully Franklin can get one-on-one with Lynch going down the seam.

Casino cash bet?

How much?

How much?

It appears I am worth $4000 in casino cash so that is what I will wager.

The terms are simple: Denver defeats KC in the 2008-09 regular season game in Denver. No points, no spread, just scoreboard.

Do you accept the bet ?

Looks like I'll have to hit the casino that Saturday. :D

2 things:

1-This is the year for you to make that bet. Denver is breaking in a bunch of newbs this year and Marshall is suspended the first two games. The OL is shaky with 2 1sy time starters including a rookie and a 2nd year man, the LBs are hurt, etc. etc.By week 4 we won't have gelled yet.

2-If Denver wins I'll give you the option of making your money back on the KC-Denver game at Arrowhead later in the season.

1. their Oline isn't as good as it used to be
2. Shanny having complete control has consistantly hurt them over the years and every year continues to get worse.
3. They have been major players in FA and have bombed on draft picks
4. LB's are terrible
5. They have no pass rush outside Dumbassville in certain situations which will hurt their secondary which is prob their strongest unit except.....
6. Their safeties are garbage and can't tackle for shit
7. They have problems at WR, which doesn't help a not so great Jay Cutler

I could go on......

Yeah I think we'll lose the game. I just hope we don't get our morale busted that first game. We are a young team and our confidence will be easily shaken, especially under the coaching of Herm (I'd love for him to be our director of scouting though, just not a good head coach). The reason I say that is when you're coaching a bunch of guys it takes more than a motivational "you play to win the game" speech for the players to follow your lead. There has to be results too. We'll see what happens.

I think Herm will build a good team that will be a force in the future. I just don't think he'll be around to see it culminate because he's not a finisher when it comes to coaching. He can evaluate talent pretty good though.

Yep. I could see it happening.

That would be the ultimate story. Going 18-1, then bouncing back and then going 19-0.

holy shit.

Hmmm. I applaud your courage, Mr. Bowser. I guess I'm going to have to dust off the ol' Rizzo doll and stir up a little of that good old fashioned voodoo. What would you prefer? Broken legs or oozing ass sores?

No problem on the morale front, Mr. Vanilla Thunder. Those guys aren't expecting to win against the Videographers.

The main thing I'm hoping for is that we don't get injured and we play the entire four quarters with enthusiasm, energy, and extreme violence. If we do, I'll be pretty happy.

It would appear that while 5 and 6 are accurate, 1,2,3,4 and 7 could not be more wrong. Not so great Cutler is leading the league yards and TD's and Marshall is leading the league in catches after missing the first game. Eddie Royal looks good too.
