[edit] Atlanta Braves
Blauser was selected by the Braves in the 1st round (5th pick) of the 1984 amateur draft and made his big league debut on July 5, 1987 with the Braves. Blauser was a dependable and powerful right-handed shortstop at 6' 0", 170 lb. He was selected to the National League All-Star Team in 1993 and 1997 and won the Silver Slugger Award in 1997.

[edit] Chicago Cubs

[edit] After playing career
Blauser retired with a lifetime batting average of .262 and 122 home runs. He managed the Mississippi Braves, the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Braves for the 2006 season. He will not manage Mississippi in 2007, likely accepting the role of a roving instructor.[1]

no,

Actually... yeah, he was for a while... but not while Blauser was still on the team IIRC

That was post Fred McGriff when we had 15 different players come through in hopes one of them would stick.

Then Tex shows up and we ship him off a year and a half later because we suck again.
