<mcc story=""> WASHINGTON — Nestlé Prepared Foods Company, a Mount Sterling, Ky., establishment, is recalling approximately 215,660 pounds of frozen stuffed pepperoni pizza sandwich products that may contain foreign materials, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service has announced.

The subject to recall are 54-ounce, 12-pack cartons of “HOT POCKETS PEPPERONI PIZZA.” Printed on the side of each carton is “8157544614D,” “EST 7721A,” and “BEST BEFORE JAN2010.” Each carton bears the USDA mark of inspection.
The products were produced on June 5 and distributed to retail establishments nationwide.
The problem was discovered after the company received consumer complaints. FSIS hasn’t received any consumer complaints or reports of injury at this time. Anyone concerned about an injury from consumption of the products should contact a physician.
Consumers with food safety questions can “Ask Karen,” the FSIS virtual representative available 24 hours a day, at AskKaren.gov. The toll-free USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline (888) 674-6854) is available in English and Spanish and can be reached from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Central Time) Monday through Friday.
Recorded food safety messages are available 24 hours a day.

Is this an attack by the French? Retaliation for the whole "Freedom Fries" debacle?

WTF does "foreign materials" mean?

Have the Chinese contaminated out frozen microwaveable convenience food-like products?

WTF does "foreign materials" mean?
I was wondering the same thing? How can they tell the difference between "foreign materials" and what they normally put on them?

Hot Pockets... /Jim Gaffigan

I think the pepperoni Hot Pockets are pretty good for a late night snack.

If you're going to cook them in the microwave, you absolutely have to use the reflective cardboard container to cook them in. Otherwise, they're soggy and uneven.

They did this a while ago too, only to Broccoli Lean Pockets or some shit...That's why no one heard about it besides people in grocery stores who had to pull the completely full shelves.

Assuming that's him, after watching that, I totally agree, just not funny.
