Rookie Franklin has knee surgery, will miss 2-4 weeks

Rookie receiver Will Franklin will miss the beginning of the season after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery late this week. He hurt his right knee Thursday during the Chiefs' final practice of the week.

The Chiefs have not yet revealed the specific injury, but Franklin is expected to miss 2-4 weeks.

Franklin had surgery on the same knee at Missouri. That surgery repaired a torn meniscus.

He said Thursday that his most recent injury did not feel the same as when he tore the meniscus.

That blows but one thing about Franklin is that he is a hard worker when it comes to rehab.

I live in CoMo, he was praised for his rehab work by the MU coaching staff when he was injured while at MU.
