My DirectTV dvr dies yesterday. How much of a pain is it going to be for me to get it repaired or replaced?

Heh. Good luck. I'm guessing they'll need to ship at least 3 of them before you find on that works so encourage them to send 3 with the first order so you're not waiting 2 weeks for service to be restored.

My 2 year old is really upset that he lost his episodes of TMNT that were on this DVR. :(

I would think Claythan's got every TMNT episode that was ever aired and would be happy to share them all, with your kid sitting on his lap.

That's justification to cuss to the $8.00 an hour paid phone answerer at DTV in my book. Cuss on fool.

That depends. Some people own their DTV DVRs.

Time Warners are complete junk. I went thru 3 in less than a year.

Isn't this covered under that protection plan? $5.99/Mo.

Yes it is. You pay $5.99/Mo to insure their equipment. I think that's how it works.

depends ... if it's a Tivo brand DVR than Directv doesn't provide that anymore.

if it's your DVR and it's Tivo then your best bet is to buy one off of ebay.

if you covered under directv then just call them

Why would you pay $5.99 to insure their equipment?
