Dude sounds like he's going to be a Tasmanian Devil tomorrow. I can't wait! GO LARRY **** THE HATERS!

People don't understand how energetic I'm going to be during this first game. It's going to be pretty much the most exciting everyone's seen me since I started playing for Kansas City, because for me, this season is to prove myself again. So much has been going on personally in my life, there's so many naysayers, I'm excited. So much can happen.<object id="delve_playerceefbe638ea14522b70ad409bc53ea14151411" classid="clsid<img src=" images="" smilies="" big-grin.gif="" alt="" title="1grin" smilieid="76" class="inlineimg" border="0" height="290" width="249">

I dont doubt larry at all. Im never agreed with anyone who plays the whole 400 plus carries "guarentees an injury" card. He really only has one full season under his belt. Even in college he only started his seinor year.

I don't doubt Larry's in it to win it. I doubt our lines ability to block for him consistantly and I doubt Croyle's ability to keep 8 guys out of the box with his arm.

While i dont think hes washed up, i do feel they need to start limiting his carries to maximize his effectiveness.

Im hoping Gailey is able to mix in Smith and Charles more. They need to model their run rotation like the Giants do.

But they Chiefs dont have a passer like Manning so they will most likely run more running plays than passing.

As bad as everyone thought LJ was last year before he got injured, he was still on his way to over 1000 yards rushing and he did make a few big plays.

According to him, it can. If he does not do good, then it is them.

See last year.

After the game, it is either:

I am god (see post starter) If I suck it is not me and the team fault.

I only make millions............

If LJ wants to have a successful season, he is going to have to be patient. He can't get frustrated like last season. It seemed that he was trying to break the big run everytime he touched the ball. It was quite the opposite with Kolby Smith....he stayed patient and took what was there. LJ has to do the same thing this season. The old days of Roaf, Waters, Weigmann, Shields, and Tait/Welbourn are gone.

Total carries....he like RB that take 299 plus, but if they do not they are good.. lump in all now....But do not lump A first and a third..

Lienhart is not a bust. He needs more time while a 3rd is a bust.......

Yes Mecca is god...because college rules the NFL.

Considering we are weak at WR and stronger at RB, not a bad idea at all.

Larry seems to only play well when he has the chip on his shoulder. Last year after the $$$ payday he lost the chip - only to regain it when he listened to all the BS during his injury.

I just hope he has a big day tomorrow and then manages to keep the chip. Its a self feeding prophecy... play with the chip - KC fans don't like you with the chip - makes the chip bigger, lather, rinse, repeat.

I think that's a load of crap.

LJ played well because he had one the greatest offensive lines ever in front of him.
As that O-Line deteriorated, his production fell off.

LJ hasn't yet shown the patience to produce at a high level with an average OLine in front of him.

I'll never discount the fact that a line helps in making a back look good or bad, but Larry does not play well when he is not pissed at the world.

Still had Shields, Weigman, and Waters playing at a fairly high level, and Jordan Black was a scrub pass defender, but he did a fair job in run blocking.

It wasn't the great line of previous years, but it, overall, was pretty good.

I think LJ is one of the best backs in the league in the secondary when he is pissed. He's got good feet and will lay some wood.

But if he doesn't get in the secondary, he can't use his talents nearly as well...He becomes an average back.

What I saw from the preseason, it appears that Chan is trying to get him back in the secondary. Even if he can face linebackers instead of DTs, I think we will see improvement.

last year lj was on pace for 1120 yards, so by the end he couldve had over 1200 yards easily, due to our remaining schedule's run d not being as good as the 1st 8 teams we played and how lj gets better the farther into the season he gets.

Thank you...I appreciate that.

My take on Croyle and the QB situation? That's a tough one...Honestly, I feel like nobody really knows what Croyle is yet, and those that pretend to know, are doing just that...pretending. Does Croyle have some NFL tools? Without a doubt. Does he have some big issues? Without a doubt. I don't think Croyle will ever set the world on fire, but I do believe he can win games in the NFL. He's way more talented than a guy like Trent Green, but does he have Green's leadership ability and pocket presence? We don't know. Bottom line with Croyle is that he needs to be given time to grow, and needs help from his teammates just like any other NFL QB.

My prediction...Croyle could end up an accomplished QB comparable to a Rich Gannon or a bust like Rob Johnson. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

It's not yards that's important, it's yards per carry, and LJ and Kolby Smith were almost identical last year. And Smith is a better pass blocker. Who cares about LJ? It's all about moving the ball threw the air. RBs are easily replaceable. And given LJ's refusal to pass-block, I don't think he should start.

Yet again, LJ being all about himself. He'd rather run for 150 and 3 TDs and lose than run for 50 yards and win. I hope he goes off, though, because that's the only chance we have of winning this game.

One of the interesting things about this year is how well LJ performs. I don't know if you guys have heard or not, but we're dang deep at RB. If LJ goes through another period like last year where he (for whatever reason) can't break the LOS and get to the second level, or can't get to the outside, or starts pouting and spiking balls and getting penalties and generally acting like an ass, we have other, pretty good options at that position.

I have a feeling that Charles is fitting LJ for a diaper right about now.
