Did anyone see Croyle checkoff to a running play? I thought I saw 3 distinct occasions where he did it for absolutely no gain. I mean really.....what is he looking at to warrant changing the play?

Fewer men in the box.

Then Adrian Jones gets his shit pushed in and we get ****ed.

Croyle is NOT the answer to our QB situation. Sorry I've seen enough. Not only is he weak..he's just not good enough. What were his stats prior to leaving?

I think Curl has ruined him anyway. They have pumped in his head to check down immediately. Basically taking way his best attribute.

I never saw him take a shot downfield. That is the one thing that I think will be any chiefs QB downfall. If they don't take shots, which the coaches don't appear to let them, they won't be what we want. Until we have coaches that allow the QB to chuck it down field, we will never have a great QB

This is what happens when you try to develop a QB with a head coach that doesn't want any turnovers, taking chances is not ok so he basically plays like he's scared.

11 for 19, 88 yards.

Was he running the CLASSIC HERM ball PA fake to the RB then throw it to him as the #1 read?

I'm not positive he's been given the green light to check from pass to run, or vice versa. Everything I saw at camp just showed he can changed the direction of the play. So just because he was checking, does not mean he was checking to a run.

11 for 19, 88 yards.

Yea that's kinda blah, I'm pretty sure his yards per attempt was very low with the constant short checks they were doing.

Yea, so not only is Herm still losing with this philosophy, hes stunting the growth of his young players.

Brilliant....

Careful, you're sounding like an Al Saunders fan.

I know this would make Herms head explode but with a young QB you have to let them learn and part of that is telling them to not worry about turnovers.

It's a piss poor gameplan influenced by a head coach who was afraid to take chances down the field.

There was one time in particular when I saw Croyle come to the line, assess the situation and then call an audible as a LB was showing blitz on the right side. For some weird assed reason the play he called was for LJ to run right at the guy and naturally the blizting LB stopped LJ cold for no gain. My friends and I were talking about it and we all agreed that's what happened. So I find myself wondering, did Croyle not notice the guy was coming up to the line despite looking in that dirction, did Croyle think it was a bluff, or did Croyle think LJ would run the guy over? no idea.

Thats easy math Mecca. 88/11 = 8 yards per attempt.

Hell, Bowe dropped 4 passes of his that wasn't his fault. People think his AC seperation is going to end his career, shit he'll be fine and recover

That's exactly what I'm talking about......Croyle has NO clue! This game's too big for him.
Start Thiggy and see what he has to offer. We know what Huard does.......

Now that is part of the reason I didn't jump all over 11-19.....even at 15-19 he was throwing such short passes he should be completing a super percentage.

They dont go deep bc we dont have the deep threat. Bowe and Gonzo are both shorter type range passes.

It's not about going deep. It's about even intermediate throws in the 15-20 yard range.

The slant to Darling should have been attempted 2 or 3 times prior on their defensive line-ups

Even if you don't complete it you have to show it sometimes or teams creep up and show 0 respect for the longer passes and then you can't get any short yards either.

Are you going to respect Webb or Darling on a fly pattern?

I think the offense will be helped when Franklin and Price get back.
