WTF? I thought we were running an offense to make up for a weak line? We ran LJ into 3 pro bowlers up the gut all day and dropped our QB only on 3rd down. The plays were awful. Down right child like at times.

They never gave Brodie a real shot to go down the field. You get better at running an offense by passing the ball a little more that that.

If they are stuffing LJ all day then hit the air. BS offense so far this season.

It probably has something to do with the 3-4 and how well we did against it last time(Miami). We will probably see that offense against a 4-3.

3-4 is hard to do the roll out plays. Also play action doesnt really work if you dont have the ground game going.

Herm was busy vetoing them, he had to keep his "keep it close and don't get embarassed" game plan in effect.

Yep exactly. There is no excuse for not running those types of plays

Well, it nearly worked, considering Bowe dropped the TD on 2nd down.

I would say we weren't embarrassed.

I'm frankly shocked that Rick Neuheisel beat Herm to the phrase "punting is winning"

All in all it came down to about 3 or 4 plays ... plus the final 1&1/2 minutes ... We played one of the top teams in the NFL decent today for a team that everyone has written off ...

Very few teams roll out against us. With our OLBs, it's an invitation for disaster.

I'll give you two reasons we didn't roll out.

Damion McIntosh

Mike Vrabel

How many times was Vrabel in the backfield before McIntosh was out of his ****ing stance?

About every other play.

Certainly looked a lot like last year, didn't it? The failure to attempt at least a couple of first down play fakes is completely inexcusable. The backers were diving into the line, the inexperienced corners were looking into the backfield. It was absolutely indefensible.

Another week of this and I'll forgive Solari for his sins. That would be all I need to see to know who's truly calling the shots on offense.

Nah. I've pocketed so many championships of late I can take the long view on this. :p

Here's hoping for 6-10, a high draft pick, and the 2009 SB victory. Make that lemonade baby!

what..you wanted to try for some big plays to win the game? Do you know how risky that is? we could have thrown an interception..it's just not worth it..Ya gotta run, run, swing pass it, and punt it and let your D do the work. You just can't throw the ball all arena like downfield. You guys gotta learn the game...the game we play to win

Repeated 9-7s in a weak division.

Check your facts. It's easy, and when you're wrong you look like a moron. When Herm was going to the playoffs, the Pats and Dolphins were also going to the playoffs pretty often, and the Pats were winning Super Bowls, so "weak" is waaaaay off base.
