I won my league last year - winning my last 8 games after sneaking into to the playoffs.

Of the 10 teams in my league mine has scored the lowest points by far.

Here is my team:

QB - Derek Anderson
WR - Wes Welker
WR - Santana Moss
WR - Laveranues Coles
RB - Steven Jackson
RB - Maurice Jones-Drew
TE - Heath Miller
K - Phil Dawson
DEF - San Diego

BN - Eddie Royal (Picked him up and dropped Jonathan Stewart -Car)
BN - LJ Smith
BN - Steve Smith (Car)
BN - Matt Schaub
BN - Justin Fargas
BN - Matt Cassell (Picked him up as trade bait since I dropped Deuce McAlister)

A guy just proposed a trade to me as follows

I give up:
Steve Smith
Justin Fargas

I get:
TJ Houshmanzadeh
Hank Baskett
Chad Pennington

Here is his team

QB - Kurt Warner
WR - TJ Houshmanzadeh
WR - DeSean Jackson
WR - Larry Fitzgerald
RB - LaDainian Tomlinson
RB - Chris Johnson
TE - Jason Witten
K - Jason Elam
DEF - Tennessee

BN - Hank Baskett
BN - Chad Pennington
BN - Darren McFadden
BN - Bobby Engram
BN - Matt Hasselbeck
BN - New England

Is the trade he proposed a good one or if not what should I counter offer?
(Consider that Steve Smith will be suspended one more game so he realizes that I need WR help; the guy told me that he is looking for running back help.)

no to the trade

He has a pretty good team, he may be a little week at QB.

Yours seems pretty week all around IMO

Which 3 receivers to start in week 3?

Car -Steve Smith (@ Min)
NE - Wes Welker (Mia)
Was - Santana Moss (Was)
Den - Eddie Royal (NO)

I am thinking Smith, Moss, and Royal. Any other opinions?

Your team really doesn't have much of a chance.

The only thing you can do is buy low and hope for the best.

Good buy low candidates:

Carson Palmer
Matt Hasselbeck
Braylon Edwards
Ronnie Brown
Matt Schaub

Anderson was good for 8 weeks last year, and really hasn't been much since. I doubt that he'll be starting by week 10. You need to look for a better QB and unload that sumbitch as soon as he has a decent week.

Miami just gave up 300 yards to Boldin and Fitzgerald plus 3 scores. You have to start Welker against that.

No to the trade.

Of those four, I would bench Moss this week.

Why the **** would you drop Jonathan Stewart?

No, no, and no. I have, TJ Houshmanzadeh, and he hasn't scored over 5 pnts yet. Beginning to wonder if he's still suiting up for them. Thank God for Santana Moss.

The grasshopper lacked patience. He put up big numbers on my bench this week.

Drop LJ Smith and Cassell.

Pick up Taylor and Sproles, IMO.

Start MJD over Fargas (and Sproles over both if LDT is hurt).

Start Schaub over Anderson

All told, your team is just pretty weak. Not sure there's a ton you can do about it. I'm trying to figure out who your 2nd rounder might have been.

Commish switched from live to auto draft on us and changed the dates at the last minute. Trying to suck it up and at least be competitive. Right now, I am winning by 10 points and my opponent only has Greg Lewis (Phi WR) left. Lets hope he doesn't have a career day.

My auto draft went like this

1st - Steven Jackson (3rd overall)
2nd - Maurice Jones-Drew
3rd - Steve Smith
4th - Wes Welker
5th - Derek Anderson
6th - San Diego D
7th - Heath Miller
8th - Phil Dawson
9th - Jonathan Stewart
10th - Laveranues Coles
11th - Matt Schaub
12th - LJ Smith
13th - Arizona D
14th - Jason Hanson

Pick up Taylor

Which Taylor are you talking about Fred or Chester?

Yeah, it hurt like hell to see the Raiders run for 300 yards on us. It hurt even more when all the damage was done by their 2nd and 3rd string RBs, after I started their 1st string RB (Fargas) who quickly got injured.

Fred.

The Jags will have a strong running game. Either Taylor stays healthy and gives you 1200 yards or they phase him out and MJD gives you 1200 yards. One of those 2 will give you a very nice season.

If I had the dead roster space, I'd pick up Fred just to be safe.
