Maualuga on the left Cushing on the right..JL in the middle, notice how much larger the SC players are.

Large is good. Especially in the NFL.

I really don't want any part of Cushing. He's a substance abuse policy waiting to happen. Maulaga would be the choice of the three, but there will be far more value where we pick anyway.

Cushing is a top 15 pick...mark that.

Maualuga is a pure Cover 2 MLB and the best MLB to come out since Ray Lewis.

Maualuga all day every day. In the big games of Ohio State, son of the Road Warrior wasn't impressive.

Both guys are studs though.

Dorsey, Tank, and Maualuga. Our run defense would be outstanding.

The Chiefs probably won't take Maualuga because his hair isn't regulation after that shit they pulled this offseason.

There's an old saying in football that goes a little something like this: "When in doubt, take the samoan."

Wouldnt mind having Sean Witherspoon either.

The guy is pretty good in coverage.

That's really not that far off, Maualuga is the best MLB prospect in a long time and Sc's system is very similar to what the Chiefs do.

Maualuga cut his hair at SC's request...SC has hair regulations as well, mecca.

Um have you seen him lately?

Yes...but it is not like it was his sophomore year. He was pissed he had to cut it. Growing it back. But they made...or "requested" it in the past.

Which means by the time he gets drafted it will be super long again....he looks more like a badass with the hair anyway.

Yep. Three interceptions in the first two games...two for TDs. Although, given the choice, I'd take Rey.

I think so too. He is awesome. I watched him play back in high school. What a combo of strength and speed.

Laurinaitas & Maualuga both sound like a disease one might get from a Brazilian hooker.

10 dollars says JL is faster than both of them. I personally would take JL, he makes plays, he is above average in coverage and stopping the run. I am disappointed with our DC not blitzing with him more. Rey is a great player also, but I would take JL in a heartbeat.

LMAO. This is why people who don't know what they are talking about shouldn't say stupid crap. He sets the BCS Championship record with 18 tackles, but yea that is not impressive LMAO.

Lets be honest he had alot of tackles but they were downfield, the only player that was remotely impressive against LSU was Jenkins.

4 were for negative stops. It's a moot point, it's a lot like people who watch the NBA and gripe about someone who scores a lot that they don't like. I always hear "well yeah he did score 40 but almost 1/2 of the buckets were dunks". So since they were dunks they are supposedly easier and shouldn't count. Point being yes he did have downfield tackles, he also had a lot of short tackles as well. Since he chased someone down in the secondary those tackles shouldn't count?

I thought Beenie Wells out running the fastest defense in the country was impressive. Steltz didn't have a chance at catching him and he had an angle on him.

Of course tackles were downfield, the DL, including the much overhyped Gholston, were getting blown off the ball.

I'm just saying he didn't look impressive, his stat line was way more impressive than his actual game performance.

And I think Maualuga is better now and will be a better pro.....Hell I think Cushing is better too actually.

Frankly I'm of the opinion that everybody who plays for USC is better than the best player that OSU has. Have you seen USC's water boy.

Suprise suprise all of the Ohio State homers think Laurinatias is better. Basically the only thing he has on Manuluga is he is quicker but that is it.

Surprise.Surprise. The USC homers think Rey is better. Honestly, I think both will be great. I see James as more of a traditional MLB and Rey as a 3-4 LBer. James is a very consistent tackler and very good in coverage from the MLB position. He doesn't get a lot of TFL or Sacks, but he isn't asked to blitz often. Rey is a playmaker and does put up better stats in Sacks and TFL, but I bet he is used more aggresively in their D. You really can't go wrong with either and I wouldn't be surprised that both have long careers. I don't know how committed Rey is to learning the position, but I do know that James is a student of the game. I actually like him more because he is less flashy and seemingly more blue collar.

Whose Manuluga? He (JL) is a lot quicker, and he is more productive.

I agree with you, I think both guys are going to be really good. JL is definetely fast enough right now for NFL speed. Like I have said before, and you just stated, they just don't utilize JL blitzing nearly enough IMO. JL is a very humble guy, I have met him before and he really is a blue collar player. Rey I don't believe so. Both are going to be Pro Bowlers on the right team.
