Spike's running an Ultimate Fighter marathon. (Current LHW Champ) Forrest Griffin's Season. Season 1.

Finale's on at 8pm. If you've never seen that fight, and you have any interest in the sport... check it out. Fantastic fight...

You know... if you're not watching college football. :)

Man, this cast was pretty loaded.

Koscheck
Bonnar
Swick
Florian
Griffin
Leben
Quary...

I still get a kick out of them having to do challenges. Like the homo-erotic sock wrestling challenge, so cringe-worthy. The format flowed so much better once they cut the shit and just put on fights.

Can't argue with the talent of that first cast, though.

There's some debate that later seasons are getting weaker because there isn't a whole lot of talent left to choose from, they've run through most of their candidates so you end up filling the teams out with crap.

It seems pretty obvious that you were right, when you compare those guys to these (Season 1) guys.

(I can't help but root for Amir, though. I always think he's gonna lose, and he finds a way to win.)

Surely, with the explosion in popularity of MMA... more guys will be training, and there'll be more talent to draw from in the future.

There are a lot of talented up and coming fighters out there, just a lot of them don't speak english very well, if at all. They could easily do a TUF with a theme like USA vs Brazil, USA vs Canada, or USA vs Japan and still have good results and fighters. Its just that having it in Vegas is always so they can use the Finale as a commercial for the Ferttita owned casinos.

I'd like to see Eddie Alverez in the UFC. Became a fan of his watching him in the Dream LW tournament.

Kurt Angle is once again saying he'll be in the octagon next year.

(He's nuts)

I'm intersted in the Shamrock/Slice one....Ugh... why?

Has-been vs. Never-was...

(Not saying I won't watch.)

Well, I'm not much into the MMA stuff, but I just knew that Shamrock used to be in the WWF awhile back, and Kimbo Slice being Kimbo Slice.

Not saying it's the top-billed fight, but it's something I may look at.

It'll be enjoyable. Either Ken gets his bell rung for the umpteenth time in a row or Kimbo loses to a leglock. I'll be watching in the same sense that I can't help but look at a car wreck.

It's certainly a draw for the casual fans. I guess that's the whole point.

If you like it, though.. dig a little deeper. It's a fantastic sport, and there are a lot of fighters who are leaps and bounds better than those two.

Like I said, though... I'll certainly watch it. I'll watch all the free MMA I can find.

It's one of those fights where I don't really want either to lose.

Kinda like Hamill/Franklin in UFC 88.
