I really thought they were gonna be better this year. They're at about the same point that the Chiefs are. Pieces getting put in place, but if everything doesn't go exactly their way, it's tough to win. And, unfortunately, it takes much longer to rebuild a baseball franchise, because you have to literally do it from rookie ball up. They'll get there.

I don't like baseball since the late 80's strike. No salary cap means a much wider gap in competition. That's why I like football. More level playing field.

With baseball the team with the big bucks will always win.

I feel that's why the Royals aren't competitive at all. No money from the owner to afford big time players. I feel it will be a very long time before the Royals are competitive due to the money issue.

good luck to them, but I'm ready for baseball season to be over.

Good news is Midwest League team won their league, and the Carolina and Texas league teams made the playoffs.

Yep...but the NWA Naturals(Texas League) were swept in the 1st round by the 2nd place team in our division:banghead:

Well...they are only three outs away from winning two games in one day.

Sounds like Teahan is making a last minute "please don't cut me" push.

At least we aren't as dumb as the Giants. I was looking at boxscores... They let Lincecum throw 138 pitches tonight in a complete game shutout. 138! They aren't even remotely near any kind of playoff race.

Except they've been in this place for about 12 years now.
