Damn, that's a crazy payroll. Baseball players are way overpaid, especially considering how irrelevant the sport is.

Give me a break. Cashman was responsible for all those championships. The problem with the Yankees this year is that their offense sucked and their young pitching wasn't ready. Their offense was horrible. Mussina should already have over 20 wins but he lost too many close low scoring games because the hitting was some of the worst I've ever seen.

The big mistake I think Cashman made was signing Rodriguez long term. Other than that, I think they're on the right track.

It's nice to see the original Evil Empire go down (yes, the Raiders are probably the true evil empire). Although as much as I hate to admit it the Red Sox may be the NEW empire.
