It's happening. Today was our most winnable game. Micheal Turner may put 300 on us next week. The black hole will leave us for dead. Miami will beat us by 3 scores. Tony Gonzalez may very well retire tomorrow. **** me runnin'.

Yep, I knew I overestimated when I predicted a 3-13 year.

There are people around here that think we can actually win 7-9 games. I'd imagine those people would change their mind at this point. 3-4 wins is not impossible...

I don't think we'll go winless. At least I hope not, haha. But even the worst, worst teams usually win a game somewhere.

If we don't knock off Atlanta next week, I think we have a great shot at going 0-16.

Who was that stupid **** who said we'd go 10-6??

ROFL..

We'll get 1 win. It'll happen somewhere, I just don't know where.

I don't think we'll win a road game. We'll get one at home. Which one? No ****ing clue, but something crazy and surprising will happen. Perhaps we will play during a major storm or something...

The Chiefs got screwed twice by the Favre-Pennington trade. I don't trust the Bengals any further than I could throw them, but they will look good against the Chiefs.

Remember when we gave San Diego their only win a few years ago? They were quarterbacked by some guy named Craig Whelehan.

I look at our schedule and I don't see a game more winnable than today's.

I'm sure somebody will screw up and hand us a victory on a silver platter, but I ain't seein' it.

They'll get a couple of wins against teams they have no business beating, just like they did last year with Minnesota and San Diego.

I don't know who on earth it'll be either. It probably will be like the 2000 Chiefs. Some 5-11 or 6-10 type team that's really inconsistent and mails it in and leaves us in the game long enough to steal it.

0-16? No, I doubt that. There are 3 pretty good possibilities on our schedule:

09/21/08 at Atlanta Falcons 12:00 PM CBS 09/28/08 Denver Broncos 12:00 PM CBS
10/05/08 at Carolina Panthers 12:00 PM CBS
10/12/08 Bye
10/19/08 Tennessee Titans 12:00 PM CBS
10/26/08 at New York Jets 12:00 PM CBS
11/02/08 Tampa Bay Buccaneers 12:00 PM FOX
11/09/08 at San Diego Chargers 3:15 PM CBS
11/16/08 New Orleans Saints 12:00 PM FOX*
11/23/08 Buffalo Bills 12:00 PM CBS*
11/30/08 at Oakland Raiders 3:15 PM CBS*
12/07/08 at Denver Broncos 3:05 PM CBS*
12/14/08 San Diego Chargers 12:00 PM CBS*
12/21/08 Miami Dolphins 12:00 PM CBS*
12/28/08 at Cincinnati Bengals 12:00 PM CBS*

Atlanta, Oakland and Miami are winnable games. We'll get one or two of those games, maybe the Bengals and probably one somewhere that nobody expected (Chargers at Arrowhead?).

I don't know...the Raiders came in here as a team in turmoil and totally dominated our sorry Chiefs.

The best chance at a W was today.

We'll probably get a win somewhere. It's damn hard to go 0-16. But 4-12 looks like an impossibility for this team.

It is a lot tougher to go 0-16 than it is 16-0. It takes a really special kind of horrible to pull off 0-16. It has never happen because really, really bad teams even screw that up. My guess would be 2-14....maybe 1-15 if Herm really steps up his brilliance but I just can't see them having that special trait to give all NFL fans the wonderful memory of 0-16.

Herm took over a 10-6 team and it took him a year before he could post a 4-12 season. I just don't think it is enough time for him to build a 0-16 squad. He probably needs another season to get his kind of players and staff in place to do that. I think 2-14 in his 3rd year and then maybe an 0-16 extra special treat in year 4.

going into this season I thought Atlanta would be one of the 3 games we would win,but now I dont think so. I think we will be 0-8 on the road this year.

The problem with this team is that Carl Peterson refuses to reach out to attract talent, unless it's one of his cronies. That means that we're drawing from a small talent pool, whereas real teams look to hire the best people instead of just the friends of the general manager. It's pathetic, really.

If/when the Chiefs do get a win, it will be an upset. Today will be the only game where the Chiefs are favored for the entire season. They will be the underdog to everyone on the schedule.

The $500 bet (the Chiefs to win less than 6 games) I placed in Vegas this summer is looking good. :thumb: It still hurts to see them suck so much.

as much as i hate to say it....we should trade Tony G. He deserves better. The chiefs would get a solid draft pick out of the deal, and Tony could go to a team that will actually utilize him, and give him the best opportunity to win a Super bowl. I think its best that we say our good byes and focus on the future. Donny edwards too...get rid of em.

Micheal Turner may put 300 on us next week.

Michael Turner suffered an ankle injury in the Falcons' Week 2 game, the extent of which is unknown.

We're guessing it isn't serious, but Turner owners should check back Wednesday for the injury report to be safe. Atlanta hosts K.C. in Week 3.From Rotoworld

Not to worry if Turner doesn't play then Norwood will blow up

I think both MO teams have a pretty good shot at going 0-16 this year. I'm just glad that the one in the middle of the two is as good as the other two are bad.

If he's on crutches, I bet he doesn't get over 150 yards. I think we can slow down a running back on crutches.

I would think the worst teams in the NFL, without including KC, would be Detroit, Miami, Oakland and Atlanta in no specific order. The Chiefs are lucky to be playing all but Detroit and Oakland twice. That being said, it will still be an upset if they beat one of those teams. Damn, things are tough.
