Kevin Kietzman said that there is a 99.9% chance that the Chiefs WILL win a game this season. Poll coming soon.

Using the PTI scheme, if I was Tony Kornheiser I would rate the chances at 100%. Nothing is ever 100% in sports so I would put it at 95%.

I haven't seen anything that indicates this team is capable of winning a game, but I have to believe at some point a team is going to take us lightly and come to Arrowhead thinking it's an easy W and this team will take all their frustrations out on them. Not sure who that will be though.

For some strange reason, I think we'll win a road game first. Arrowhead has lost all of it's magic, which is a shame. But yeah, I think we'll catch someone on a bad week.

I hope we do, but I still have nightmares about that game vs. Denver last year in Arrowhead. Huard was atrocious. Of course, we also had Solari and no running game. Oh wait ...

I honestly haven't seen anything yet that makes me think this team, mostly due to the coaching staff, can stay within a TD of any other team in the NFL.

They really are one of the worst teams I've ever seen. Worst coaching staff in the NFL. Can't run, really can't pass, can't stop the pass and REALLY can't stop the run. Special teams is also awful outside of punting.

Well, Denver's D is suspect, (and that's a compliment to the real scenario)

We ARE really pissed, Huard IS capable of playing good (we've seen that before) LJ should run, + whatever Arrowhead advantage remains. We're going to win this one. And no, I'm not positive, hell, the final product in real-time might display our not showing up, I just think we're going to come out gunning. JMO... Call me crazy. ;) --And yes, this is complimented w/ wishful-thinking. ;)

I'm picking KC this week just because of the gut feeling factor. If we lose, so be it, but I'm putting all of my Hope chips on the table ...

I thought we had a chance against Denver this year. Until I figured out the REAL Chan Gailey is in witness protection. And Chief's OC Mike Solari simply had plastic surgery to look like Chan as a cover.

The FBI's pissed off as Chan's cover is getting blown by Solari's play calls.....

The chances of us losing 16 games this season is slim-to-none.

I do believe we have a real shot at losing 16 straight though.
And that, I think, is worse.

Sixteen straight losses spanning two seasons is flat embarrassing.
Especially given the entire off-season you had to navigate your way out of that downward spiral.

During the year it's hard to make wholesale change.

It is statistically unlikely but if anyone can do it- it's Herm. The 2008 Chiefs aren't better than anybody but I think they'll win one, anyway. Hooray for Herm! He'll be 53-75, if he lasts the entire season.

I agree... the chance of every team "giving their A game" is too low to think the Chiefs can't win a game by default. If every game we played was fairly important to the opponent, I think we would go 0-16.

That said, the last four games of the season are @Denver, San Diego, Miami, @Cincy. The two division games won't help as they will obviously be fighting each other for the division and will need the win (but, could still take us lightly). It would have been nice if we played a team that was locked into a playoff spot on the last week of the season, but that's not the case. Maybe Miami and Cincy will have give up by then.... well, if we don't give up first. :(

What's funny (not haha funny) is that his philosophy is all about mediocrity. A bad season for Herm should still give you at least a few wins, if not 5 or 6, because of the defensive/running game/clock management style. But, of course, the NFL has gone arena league, and Herm hasn't gotten the news yet because he doesn't have the internet.

the faiders will have a new head coach by then as well that could implode things

It is actually harder to lose 16 than win one based on history. I think part of it is that teams usually face a team that has basically met their goals or packed it in, in the last two games. JMHO

If we lost 12 games in a row, simple math says that we're likely to win 12 games in a row now. It's a zero-sum game.

if we manage to foil Herm's plans and win a game this season, I hope it's tomorrows game. The donkeys have the worst pass D, which is the only bright spot I can find in the match-up, but unfortunately, we'll need a passing game to take advantage of that.

This team is embarrassing. I don't think make us proud can enter into it after 12 straight losses and getting blown out by some of the league's worst teams.

To go 0-16 means you are perfect, maybe perfect at losing but perfect none the less. I don't believe this team is capable of any form of perfection, and will not go 0-16.

It's the best imaginable scenario for the Chiefs, except for one thing: Croyle wasn't behind center. That still leaves a huge question mark in place.
