He's got a longggggggg way before he's Jared Allen, but I was pretty impressed with this guy today.
He's VERY raw, and you can see that. We expected that coming from such a small school. But he's got the tools to be a good pass-rusher.
I would be happy if he could develop into a decent third down edge rusher, and if we could find a legitimate starting RDE then we'd have a really impressive four-man DE rotation.

I am happy with the guy. He will be a solid backup for a long time to come and may even mature to be a starter eventually.
GREAT pick up late in the draft by the Chiefs.

Best part.. we'ld be the Johnson & Johnson defense...

He's great value for a 7th rounder.

He's a seventh-round pick, so the fact that he's on the field is good. Or bad. I'm not sure.
I saw him using one move today all day, and essentially getting walked out of every pass play. If he gets a second move, an inside move, he can become much more effective.

of course Jared Allen wasn't "Jared Allen" in this first year either......

In fact I remember DV throwing a fit about him not being a starter didn't he?

I can overlook a whole lot of things with a $425,000 bailout check in my pocket.

Isn't it funny that people always compare white athletes to other white ones and black ones to other black ones. Maybe Brian Johnston is a longggggggg way from being a Kareem Gbaja-Biamila. I am sure Jordy Nelson is going to be the next Ed Mcaffrey as well:)

Hey Johnston has half as many sacks a Jared and he's a 7th round rookie!! I think if he can keep up the pace of a sack every other game this has been a very good year for him. At the same time the sacks must come second to stopping the run and protecting the outside edge.

He's actually more like Wes Welker or Brandon Stokley. ;)

I guess you're right. I tended to compare Ed McAffrey to the Olsen twins, who are white.

Should have been a 1/2 sack...DJ did half the work. DJ had a great game.

I think Johnston is going to be a good player. Maybe not great, but for a 7th rounder, I'll take good.

If we can get another DE to push Hali and Johnston to the spots they should be in then the Dline really does come together, my god I actually agree with this guy about something...
