What grade do you give Gunther for the day?

*edit: for the record we allowed less than 100 yards rushing but allowed over 350 yards in the air. Recovered 2 fumbles and made 2 interceptions.

Fugg Gunther.

The players played pretty good, though.

Four turnovers. 19 points.

Good enough for an A against one of the better offenses in the league.

B+

Would have been higher if we had kept them under 275 in the air.

A-

They looked very good overall, but we need to figure out how to get some extra heat on the QB.

I voted A-. Over 350 in the air is not good enough (you can't count on yanking the ball out every time) and only 1 sack when they aren't running is a concern. Overall, though, hard to argue with 4 turnovers and hard-hitting.

As an aside, I'm still wondering where Morgan is.

held the mighty broncos to one touchdown.

gotta give em an A for that.

B-, great for the TO's though and stopped the run decently too. Still gave up 300+ passing and didnt get to the QB enough. Great job though imo

I think I was pretty generous with a B grade after that 360 yard aerial gashing.

Basically we have no pass rush. Until we find another Jared Allen we're going to get gashed through the air.

The key for this team is stopping the run and running the ball on offense. If we do those two things we'll be in a lot of games.

voted B+ - not bad with 2 rookie corners. Hopefully will only get better.

We're fortunate for the turnovers and that our offense actually kept us in the lead for once. Otherwise the preformance of the donkeys should've overtaken our D. I'll go with a solid B.

Flowers and Carr both really impressed today. Flowers almost had an interception late (offensive pass interference probably could have been called) and Carr might have had another if he had gone one step deeper on the touchdown. All in all, both gave a lot of reason to feel good about the future at CB. Now if we just had a DE...

The defense's performance is tempered in my view, because lets see if they can repeat against the Panthers

Their offense doesn't begin to compare to Denver's. I'm worried about DeAngelo WIlliams though.

The thing that impressed me most was that the players were trying to cause fumbles today. I haven't seen that in a long time, and we should always be doing that. We'll see next week if the light bulb finally came on, or if it was just a players' revolt.

regardless, it's all about consistency. One game the squad looks great, then the next week they look like prison bitches getting ass raped.

Tyler Thigpen.

Our defense looked GREAT today after our offense started soaking up time of possession minutes.

Exactly. The defense had to face fewer possesions due to the fact that the O actually moved the ball today. The D forced like 4 straight 3 and outs to begin the game last week against ATL, but it didn't matter because the O couldn't do squat.

CREATING turnovers. They went out there and created two FF on their own merit. Props to that.

Don't forget 6 of the points were on 2 long FG's.

That kicker has a hell of leg to say the least. When you force a team to kick those 50 plus yarders it is a good thing. Few can nail them as easy as Prater or whatever his name was.
