This defense misses Jared Allen. Or at least some semblance of a pass-rushing end.

Considering the money we didn't spend, AND the picks we got we're winning big time right now. That said, I think we're 2-2 possibly 3-1 with Damon starting exclusively since Brodie got hurt if he's still here. I think he'd have at least 5 sacks.

I thought he'd have 5 sacks by now with that defensive frontHe should still end up with double-digits, but an 8 sack pace with the guys beside him has to be a major disappointment at this point.

He had 6 last year in his first four starts.

It could be a matchup problem. He's had GB, Indy, Carolina and Tennessee the first four weeks. The Chiefs didn't play Carolina last year, but against GB, Indy and Tennesse, he had a total of a half a sack.

We could have used him in the 2nd half. Cutler had a lot of time in the last few drives.

True, but from an overall team standpoint...

- Very good looking young LT
- Great change-of-pace back and special teamer
- $70 million spare
- And maybe even a decent safety at some point in the future (it is four games, after all)

I'm happy right now.

Do remember watching him in the 2nd half last year? No? Thats because he use his cloaking devise and became invisible.

Exactly

True point, but it's a shame so few people saw it for what it was last year.

Allen was a bitch in the second half and while I was by no means happy to see him go, I absolutely loved the trade. He is NOT a franchise DE. It was a career year for him playing for a contract and I doubt he ever does it again. Also a liability in the running game. Certainly made some plays in it, but not stout at the point of attack.

It will work out well when all the chips are down and played as far as the players gain, not to mention Allens pay check. It will REALLY look good, if Allen god out and gets shitfaced and gets another DUI.

And if Joe Flacco becomes a franchise QB with Herb Taylor playing as well as Albert on the left side (and not an injury liability), his selection could haunt the Chiefs.

Of course, that's a lot of "ifs".

I'm sure next time he will stop and ask the opposing team not to roll on his elbow and dislocated it. I am sure that will help him to stop getting hurt.

This week: 3 tackles, 1 sack and a safety in a 12-10 win over the Lions.

Year-to-date totals: 16 tackles (12 solo) and 3 sacks.
Current projected totals: 43 tackles (32 solo) and 8 sacks.

The Safety was suspect IMO not really his doing ... yeah he was running at the QB but if the QB doesn't run out of bounds no safety.

If he doesn't run out of bounds, he absolutely gets creamed by Jared Allen...who are you kidding?I'd heard about the play but hadn't seen it. It didn't look to me like he was intentionally running out of bounds, he was rolling out and was absolutely clueless about where he was on the field. I don't know if he'd have gotten rid of it or not, but I don't think it's any lock Allen would've hit him.

The only move that this team has made that made any sense. Props to CP. As much as he does not deserve any.

p.s. The Thigpen area was forced upon CP. Dumb luck.

Listen it wouldn't make sense for a team in rebuilding mode to spend the kind of Jack that JA was demanding so it was the right thing to do for us.
Coming into this thread and trying to pretend the guy isn't a player though when we all saw otherwise is just sour grapes. The guy is a hell of a DE and this defense misses him.

Allen has two completely ridiculous sacks to his name this year. One where the turd Lions QB runs out of the end zone, and the second where Kevin Williams is dragging Rosenfels down and Allen simply jumps on for the ride. I assume the ESB will correct that mid-week.

The great thing about that video is that he doesn't even realize he has stepped out of bounds. Just keeps running to throw it away.

If you are talking about the last play of the game, the NFL credited it to K. Williams. Allen got the sack on 3rd down the play before.
