View Full Version : Chiefs Rudy Niswanger seems solid, no?

Lots of holes up the middle, not a lot of penetration from the DTs on passing plays. I don't claim to watch interior line play often, but I can't say I've seen too much negative out of Niswanger.

His play is very encouraging to say the least.

His play hasn't been as bad as people predicted during preseason. He still seems to have the most difficulty when facing a 3-4 defense.

Yeah.... when the Donks came out with a 3-4, I thought "Ohh hell", but he held his own pretty well.

Would be better with Richardson and Taylor in on his right side.

I still suggest he's too tall to be a good Center. I'd much rather see him say...at Right Guard.

You want big guys across the line when you are a mauling offense..

...and if the Chiefs are really working towards zone blocking schemes, they require agile linemen instead of large maulers, which is stupid, because they had a center for that scheme....

He was VERY good in limited duty last year at the right guard spot.

The Chiefs will have the option in next year's draft to either grab a true center and move Niswanger or grab a right guard.

Either way, it's a nice option to have.

Denver's defensive line sucks. That helps quite a bit.

Gurode (Dallas) and Birk (Minnesota) last years Pro Bowlers for the NFC are both 6'4".

DUKE ROBINSON PLEASE!!!!!!

I was thinking about that last night.
We'll need to add a Guard or two in the off-season.

Robinson would be an nice addition.

I wasn't talking about one game.

He's steadily been getting better but we can't judge anything from our offense based on the Donko game. Especially LJ

Maybe you should check out the heights of other centers. There are a bunch of them at 6'4" or bigger. Including Kevin Mawae, and many others. It's a myth.

passable ...

but lets face it ...... neither our Oline or Dline have been anything to write home about so far.

What really impresses me about Niswanger is he's holding his own while playing next to the worst right side in the NFL. Adrian Jones and Macinvag are absolutely terrible and probably don't do much to seal any penetration gaps. He's doing an admirable job.

Niswanger is still struggling a little in getting under the DT's pads and getting leverage, but he's improving with each game.

Dane's right.

When the draft rolls around, Niswager gives us options.
