Listed below are the candidates' priorities, in response to the question of how they would allocate their attention to the major cabinet-level policy areas.

Candidates (in order of submission):

Donger's (Republican):

Agriculture and Food Production = 5%
Environment = 5%
Commerce and Trade = 5%
Justice and Crime = 5%
Defense and the Military = 10%
Jobs and Workforce = 5%
Education = 5%
International Affairs = 10%
Energy = 10%
Transportation = 5%
Health and Human Services = 5%
Monetory and Economic Issues = 10%
Homeland Security = 10%
Veterans' Issues = 5%
Housing and Urban Development = 5%

Joey (Democrat)

Agriculture and Food Production 5
Environment 5
Commerce and Trade 5
Justice and Crime 1
Defense and the Military 7
Jobs and Workforce 13
Education 5
International Affairs 4
Energy 7
Transportation 9
Health and Human Services 12
Monetary and Economic Issues 11
Homeland Security 3
Veterans' Issues 7
Housing and Urban Development 6

SNR (Republican):

Agriculture and Food Production- 2. The president has to do with this in what way? I would ADVISE that CONGRESS needs to spend less on corporate farms and that the states deal with legislation on local farms

Environment- 2. There's a big mess to clean up in the environment, but those concerns cannot be addressed amidst more important concerns. Energy has huge ties to the environment, and I would be addressing those concerns more thoroughly

Commerce and Trade- 6.
Justice and Crime- 6. I'm for justice but against crime.

Defense and the Military- 7. Scale back the military. Remove troops from places like Germany. Remove troops in Iraq.

Jobs and Workforce- 8

Education- 12.
International Affairs- 10
Energy- 9
Transportation- 2
Health and Human Services- 2
Monetory and Economic Issues- 14. Cut spending. No stimulus checks. NO BAILOUTS. The recession is going to have to happen before the economy gets any better. It has NOT bottomed out yet contrary to popular belief and we can't afford more bailouts. Need to stop inflation.
Homeland Security- 1. Going to listen to intelligence and make the appropriate decisions when it comes down to that. In the meantime, I'm just going to ignore the powers the Patriot Act grants me as president.
Veterans' Issues- 7
Housing and Urban Development- 2... umm... isn't this a local issue?

Cronus (Democrat):

Environment: 5%. Make sure that we have better air and water standards that aren't written by polluters, be sure to clean up all Superfund sites, and give teeth back to the EPA. Finally we will remove the Broncos and Raiders what else would you do with Toxic Waste.

Commerce and Trade 5%. We need to rewrite NAFTA so that it is in the best interests of the America we all know, you know the ones who Cling to their Big Screens, Foreign Cars or Elitist Philosophy.

Justice and Crime: 10%. We are overpoliced as it is so enjoy your prostitution and drugs just pay the tax.. We will bring back investigations of corruption in government as our primary mission. Homeland security is being folded back into this department. (Banyon)

Defense and the Military 0 % Our policy is one of non-intervention except when requested to support a large nation contingent in support of pushing back interventionism on the part of an aggressor nation. 1% (This department will be run as part of the Justice and Crime cabinet position By Banyon)

Jobs and Workforce: 10% Increase tax cuts for small business, introduce a monopoly/oligopoly tax penalty for corporations that become so big they can unduly influence the fairness of the market. Power to the People, Power to the People Right On.

Education: 15% Provide every American who wants it a free education at a trade school if they perform 12 months of national service, and a free 4 year degree if they perform 30 months of national service. We won’t offer sex education to Kindergartners we will just give them tasers and explain that they can use them against bad people.

International Affairs. 15% We encourage international affairs just remember to pullout after insertions. Pull aid from Israel. Leave Iraq. Remove troops from Saudi Arabia and other ME nations. Draw down in South Korea and Japan, and transfer troops to Sudan as part of a peacekeeping mission to stop the genocide (‘Hamas’ Jenkins)

Energy: 10% Embrace the concept of a multifaceted solution. Install tons of windfarms in the sparsely populated mountain west states, use the native grasses for biofuels. We will also use Republicans in our new nifty human wheel power (saves on those pesky club memberships)

Transportation: 5% Transporter chambers for all…no wait without Spock and Scotty that won’t work so instead we will.. Create an interstate for a post-petroleum fuel system, complete with sweeping projects for construct of new charging stations, hydrogen stations, and other alternate energy sources.

Health and Human Services: 5% We will tax broccoli and liver because eating healthy is unAmerican. Mandate the removal of HFCS and Trans Fats in our nation's schools by 2012. Shorten the patent length on medications, so that customers aren't gouged for 14 years.

Monetary and Economic Issues: 15% We like money send us yours (evil smile). Cut defense spending by 50%. Cut DHS by 80%. Bring back Clinton-level tax rates. Cut federal taxes on gasoline by 5 cents/gallon, while setting a profit cap on what oil can take per gallon so that they don't just add the 5 cents to their pocketbook. Properly regulate financial markets. End cost overruns for defense contractors. (Laz)

Homeland Security 0%. It's a redundant, bloated dept that only made you wait in long airport lines. We will fold it into a combined Justice and Crime which will also control Defense

Veterans' Issues 5%. First of all free Pie and psychiatric care for KCJohnny and Programmer. Provide for adequate VA care, including mental health.

Housing and Urban Development 0% ( With a shrinking housing market this department will be combined into Health and Human Services as part of our shrinking of the government).

Ultra Peanut (Republican):

Agriculture and Food Production - 1%
Farmers are the nation's backbone, and they do a great job.
Environment - 6%
Climate change is real. We can face the issue head on, or we can ignore it and face the consequences.
Commerce and Trade - 4%
Provide incentives for companies who hire Americans and reward businesses who play by the rules by closing loopholes that allow others to gain unfair advantages.
Justice and Crime - 2%
We have to address the causes of crime, not the symptoms. The Drug War is too expensive, in both economic and human costs. Nonviolent offenders are not a danger to society, and should battle their addictions outside of incarceration rather than an environment that does not reflect the struggles of everyday life.
Defense and the Military - 8%
Our military is overextended and can not adequately provide for our troops. Draw down in Iraq, lock down Afghanistan, and stop playing games with our soldiers.
Jobs and Workforce - 5%
Again, incentivize hiring the American worker.
Education - 10%
Eliminate No Child Left Behind and acknowledge our educational system issues for the complex problems they are. Teaching for the test is a disservice to everyone.
International Affairs - 5%
Exercise diplomacy and repair our image abroad. Without a carrot, the stick is useless.
Energy - 12%
Encourage development of alternate energy sources.
Transportation - 1%
This ties in with energy. High-speed rail options for commuters would help alleviate problems with resource consumption.
Health and Human Services - 18%
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Under our current system, we collectively pay more for less. Keep minor issues from growing into major problems. This is the only responsible option.
Monetary and Economic Issues - 15%
Restore the regulation that has been systematically dismantled over the past decade. The current bailout is a bitter pill and insufficient in that respect, but will not be as damaging to our nation as politically-motivated alarmists are attempting to portray it.
Homeland Security - 3%
We can prevent terrorism without abusing the rights of the American people. We must hunt down MrBlond, but we cannot trample our Constitution in the process.
Veterans' Issues - 5%
Supporting the troops extends past their time on active duty. Provide mental and physical health care as well as increasing opportunities for returning veterans to successfully reintegrate into civilian life.
Housing and Urban Development - 5%
Our communities should be strengthened at a root level. Ignoring the problems that pervade communities is one of the reasons crime rates are so high and so many Americans are imprisoned.

Badgirl (Democrat):

Badgirl is still preparing her priorities. They will be added when complete.
Direckshun (Democrat):

Direckshun is still preparing his priorities. They will be added when complete.

Hmm, I think immigration crosses a lot of areas. It may be a topic of another candidate exercise.

With this being a CP presidential election, I really thought that people would be applying their campaigns to how they affect CP.

Mr. Rain Man Sir

I am curious why does your poll mix the Democratic Candidates with the Republican candidates. Why was that.

Respectfully CRONUS

The election commission thought it would be useful to see how many people were staying within their own party with their preferences.

I think Immigration should be discussed on it's own!

Just a suggestion, but next time the poll may be better served with the candidate on just once. To much gibberish spreading the votes out
