Two KC Star writers choose Bye to shut out the Chiefs, three pick them to win, although Jeff Flanagan says it'll take OT to do it.

It'd be just like the Chiefs to screw up their draft by winning the bye week.

I think they'll lose. Hermie still doesn't know what happened in the Panthers game.

the sad thing is, Herm probably thinks Bye is an actual team and is frantically searching for game film

The Bye have it first and goal at the four.

first 3 possessions for the chiefs and still no first downs.

And the BYE crushes Brodie Croyle on 3rd and 28.

McGinatosh looked like a wet paper sack and the DE went right through him...

Looks like he's hurt.

Herm will need to watch the tape to figure out why he couldn't score on the "bye's". At which time his solution will be to name Thigpen as the starter again.

so far LJ has 6 rushes for 13 yards.....

That's just the problem; McIntosh doesn't exert enough effort to even get injured. I certainly don't wish any harm upon athletes...but I would be "less upset" if McIntosh were out for the season.

The only thing the Chiefs lose this week is Tony Gonzalez. I'd rather take the loss to the Bye.

Chiefs getting dominated at halftime. Knowing he doesn't have enough time to watch the film in the locker room, he orders pizza instead.

Croyle has torn ligaments in both legs after a scramble out of bounds. Huard will play after halftime, although he is a bit dizzy.

Nobody is more cynical than we are.

We are olympic class cynics, no doubt.

I salute the CP!

Chefs lost vs. Bye today, right? Herm needlessly squandered all the TOs on the first and third quarter? Kept running LJ between the tackles?

Well, until he benched him when we went into panic passing mode in the 2nd quarter.

Herm is upset that we were only able to come up with a couple field goals.... Said that we need to have 4- 5 fg's to have a chance to win in the NFL.

Breaking news...Herm traded to Bye for 7th round pick and two stadium hot dogs.

Game recap - After 20 consecutive punts Colquitt's leg actually detached and trailed the ball in air time only 5 yards short from where the punt was marked for a touch back.

Peterson hires his old frat buddy Yak to punt for the Chiefs the remainder of the season.

Yak's only experience in punting is in a pick up game back at Raytown South back in '82 but Peterson feels his presence will provide a soothing feeling.

It was either Yak or a looping track of a heart beat sound while Peterson sleeps. Peterson felt Yak was the better option.

Go Chiefs!

That is all wrong, you are talking about MVP Colquitt there, when his leg detached it went flying through the air and knocked the returner out cold, causing him to muff the punt. Sadly our streakers ran into each other, and some forgettable LB got near the ball, passed out seeing the leg allowing for them to recover the ball and return it until Colquitt was able to get close enough to rip off his arm and throw it at the returner to trip him up. He then hobbled over and picked up his leg and arm, and with an equal part mixture of his own spit and dirt was able to attach both limbs and is listed as probable for next week.
