Big 12 with 6 in the top 16 ... would be more if they weren't gonna knock the crap out of each other.

Yesterday on sports radio in Atlanta the SEC homers were saying the Big 12 is better. That's amazing considering the level that most people here put the SEC above the NFL.

Uh, see the SEC just about every year, and THIS year before the EXACT thing you described happened to them.

THIS IS WHY A PLAYOFF SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE IMPLEMENTED.

I'm tired of hearing about the SEC. I really am. If I have to hear Lou Holtz say that SEC bottom dwellers could win any other conference, I'm gonna barf.

This still doesn't compare to my hatred of the natioal cock smoking that the media does of the Big 10.

Don't forget about all the great college QB's in the Big 12 too.

I personally would agree, but I'd also say the SEC does that to each other every year and people say that's because they're overrated.

Seconded. Call to question.

Would that do away with Bowl games? How many more games a year would that add?

None if you lose..

Have all the minor bowls.. And then set up the top 8 to 12 teams in a playoff format.. Each game is a major bowl, if you win you get to go on to the next bowl..

OF course each conference needs to have a conference championship game..

So a 8 team playoff would be 3 extra games tops..
A 12team playoff would be 4 tops...

These extra games would not be a problem if some of these programs would quit scheduling sooooooooooo many creampuff teams at the start to pad stats and wins..

Perhaps you should worry about your own sorry ass team.

Looks like it is the Big 12 south that is the real part of the conference.

I think it's UT and the rest of the conference. OU's defense is very suspect and I think OSU are paper tigers.

So much for thinking the north could compete with the south this year... Kansas/TTech is about the last chance to knock one of them off.
