Would you rather have Simms or Rattay over Thigpen?

We'll probably finish the year with Tyler Thigpen because we still need to evaluate him.

Put Carl out there.

it's not like we are going to win any more games anyway, and the only reason I'd pay these ticket prices would be to see Carl get beaten and raped by 11 huge angry black men behind the mess of an OLine that his own stupidity created.

You're all wrong. You shouldn't be looking at QBs.

What are the available WRs so that we can bring back the "option"?

Unless I missed something, how could we possibly sign Simms?

He's the property of the Titans.

Oh, I didn't know he signed with them. So Rattay then, or did he sign too?

DeBerg had heart. If he had hurt his knee like brokie did, he would have simply bolted it back together on the sidline and came back into the game a play later.

Funny story on Deberg... His playaction was so legendary that one practice he was bragging about it. A practice squad player called it "average" So Deberg challanged the player to guess who had the ball 3 times. The Practice squad player couldn't tell all 3 times who had the ball and Deberg then cried out YOU LOSE and broke the players neck

Thigpen will play-out the season ... I think you'll be surprised .. He needs time and this season is a loss anyway .. So feed him to the wolves and see how he handles it ....

In all honesty, printers looked better than huard and croyle in preseason last year. Atleast him and thiggy can run for their lives instead of going fetal or snapping in half.

Watch, this current regime will be like this in the offseason:

" Well, we like Thigpen alot. He played well the 2nd half of last year. We dont feel we neccessarily have to think QB, with our first pick"

This situation gives them an opportunity to get a good look at Thigpen.

While he really hasn't done anything to warrant the starting gig I have seen him do a few positive things. They were mostly late in games that had already been decided, but I was impressed with how decisive he was about running it in for a TD. That was gutsy. I appreciate that quality in a QB.

His arm isn't bad either.

As of right now we need to be scouring every resource for information on collegiate QB's so that we can make the best decision in April.

Thigpen would have to improve significantly for me not to take a QB with my #1.

I don't expect him to play that well, but we'll see.

Just to end any of that speculation, the Vikings offered the Browns 2 1st round picks for him, they declined.

I would imagine Thiggy will play out the season, or until he is killed. Our only hope is for Snake Pleskin. :doh!:

I rather like the idea of picking a different member of the coaching staff to start each week, or direct snaps to diaper boy since he wants to stay on the field and get the ball more.:spock:

Knowing Carl, he will probably call up the Jets and trade for Brad Smith to come in and run the option. LMAO

10-20-2008, 04:40 PM
It will be Joe Montana.

If Herm & Carl really believed that Croyle could go out there behind our O-line and not get hurt, then they will certainly believe registered AARP member Joe Montana can go out there and not get hurt.

He is also in the Peterson / Hunt "network" which makes him a plausible signing.

Might as well see if the Vikings need Adrian Peterson, and check into the status of Calvin Johnson from the Lions while we're at it.

While we're at it can we get with SF on the status of Patrick Willis, I doubt Sandy Eggo has any interest in Cromartie, might as well go after him too.

In FA we could sign Terrell Suggs to a vet minimum deal to keep the cap, we'd be in good shape I think.
