"Just remember: Fans take losses much harder than the majority of players do." — Jeffrey Flanagan
KCSP's Marty Wall let go, too
First it was Rhonda Moss. And now it’s Marty Wall who is the latest on-air talent to fall victim to layoffs at all-sports station KCSP (610 AM).
Wall has been a co-host with Neal Jones on KCSP’s late-afternoon sports talk show. Jones will remain at the station and has continued to host the show this week, though the long-term future of the show seems uncertain.
Wall, who was told he was let go earlier this week, and Moss were part of a nationwide cutback by Entercom, which owns KCSP.
“I wasn’t shocked at all,” Wall said by phone. “I know that these are hard times financially and that Entercom was making cutbacks all across the country.
“And when you’re in radio, you always have to be prepared for this day. I always have said that if you’re in radio and you’re not prepared for something like this, it’s your fault. It’s not the company’s fault.”
