If you mean round 2 or 3 maybe Josh Freeman if he comes out, and if we got him a real QB coach.

If not, then try to trade down. Which we may just do even if we do have #1 pick. I'm not sure Hunt wants to be the last owner to sign the #1 draft pick to the ridiculous contracts they are currently getting.

There are a lot of options if we don't get Stafford.

Might not be worth the #2-5th pick in the 1st round but eligible guys later in the draft will be.

Josh Freeman
Tim Tebow
Hunter Cantwell
Sam Bradford
Mark Sanchez

... and several others I'm not thinking of right now.

Trust me. There's a lot of prospects and we'll end up drafting somebody.

I know, but I'm trying to slowly ease Freeman into the conversation on this board by starting him off as a potential 2nd round pick. He will destroy the combine if he comes out.

I have no doubt Freeman is a first round pick, but i personally wouldn't take him where we draft near the top. If we don't get Stafford I would really hope that he falls to us in the second. I also like Herman Johnson in the second round though.

Your Russell vs Freeman was nails on. NFL teams love the skills they will over look alot when a guy destroys the combine. I don't know if I agree but it is a fact. Vick, Young and several others are reasons to question this thinking, but it is what it is

Oh absolutely agree with wanting Herman Johnson in the 2nd. That would be nice.

Our O-line stinks and he'd go a LONG way in shoring that up. He's a freak.
