It will be interesting if Texas Tech will be ranked higher than Penn State if both are undefeated. There would deserve it but I can see the Coaches given it to old Paterno.

OU has blown out everybody and lost 1 close game to the #5 team in the country, where as UF lost at home to Ole Miss which is the SEC equivalent of Iowa St. Texas played 4 top 10 teams in a row and lost on the last play of the game and should also be above UF.

OU's two best victories have come against (#24 AP, #23 coaches) TCU and a 14 point victory over (#16 AP, #15 coaches) Kansas. Florida destroyed (#3 coaches, #4 AP) LSU and (#6 BCS, #8 coaches & AP) Georgia.

Sure, OU's loss looks better but Florida's victories are stronger.

Yeah sure.

The rest of the teams in the big 10 that were supposed to be good all lost when they played a decent team outside of their conference, so since Penn State doesn't play anyone and are thus undefeated they're the team that gets the big 10 homer vote this year.

So now here we are again, same story every year. The good teams in the big 12 and sec have to win out so they can get into the Championship otherwise Penn State coasts in. Of course they will be completely dominated by whoever it is that makes it opposite.

Depends. If Florida also beats Florida State and Alabama in the SEC Champ game that would be at least 3 top 10 wins (including a possible #1 Alabama) and a win over a ranked out-of-conf opponent.

But then OU could theoretically beat Mizzou in the B12 championship, which would potentially be another top ten win. I could see both arguments, and it's just another example of why this system blows.

Florida's speed guys are faster than USC's, Florida has better WRs and Florida has spectacular special teams. Our defense is much improved from last season. USC has better RBs and LBs and their D-Line is probably better too. I'd still take Tebow over Sanchez as a college QB (which is different than discussing pro potential).

No way in hell that USC or Fla should be ranked above either Texas or Oklahoma. USC and Fla have HORRIBLE losses. You shouldn't be able to play your way out of losses that bad. If Texas or Okie had lost to, say, Iowa St., then I'd feel the same about them. Regardless, the system is a joke.
