This is from Herm's press conference which is going on right now. They put Kolby on IR. They dropped CB Brackenridge and TE Foschi. That leaves one spot open. Herm made is sound like they'll be bringing in a CB, but wouldn't say who.

I'd like to see Kevin Robinson handle some KR duties. Supposedly, he was going to be a viable candidate at KR, but he had an injury.

Merrit is supposed to be a big blocker. I'd like to see him take over some of Cottam's blocking duties and allow Cottam to be more of a recieving threat. I think Cottam can really be a dangerous team with Gonzo. I'd like to see Bowe, Gonzo, Bradley and Cottam be our top 4 receivers, in that order.

Anyone hear anything else worthwhile from the press conference? I only heard a few minutes of it.

This team was getting old... half of these guys have been in the league for 1/2 a season...

Maybe Battle takes that final roster spot?

Didn't they just fucking sign Brackenridge? How about cutting that worthless piece of trash named Leggett?

EDIT: They should bring in KGB.

Kind of need another corner especially if Flowers is hurt.

Battle is already on the 53 man roster.

Merritt and Robinson were on the PuP list so had to be activated or put on IR I believe.

What Thiggy can't play CB too?

He's already part QB, part RB, part WR, why not part CB? He can play both ways!

I hope Robinson can do something otherwise what a waste of another draft pick.....

Huh? Wasn't Robinson drafted in the sixth round?

What other draft picks were wasted this past year?

well nothing else this past year but the year before we wasted a 5th rounder on Medlock...

The 7th rounder for Merrit.

No, just kidding.

Not sure how Merrit will play into anything, as long as we keep with this spread offense thing.

I have to think, by the way, that Tony is loving this. Don't have to block as much, and his reception count is certainly rising.

Flowers and Carr set the bar too high in expectations for our young/rookie corners. They are playing great, so don't be too harsh on Leggett.

Why cut Brack and keep Leggett? Leggett got burned ALL game.

I hope Merritt becomes a RG and displaces Adrian Jones. Probably won't happen, but I'd like it to.

Also, hopefully they are giving Robinson some ST responsibility so Savage can carry the ball some. Charles is NOT an every down back IMO.

Yup. Could be a huge positive for the running game. Might help out the right side big time.

He was a big reason why Smith had all those yards down at UCF last year.

I thought he was a huge fat dopey guy that projected as a guard.

Did Merritt ever line up as a blocker in the backfield? Could we see him as Fridge or Klecko type of blocker on running plays in short yardage?

No matter how good Kevin Robinson may be, he won't be able to do much with the crappy special teams Kansas City has.

Our kick return unit has been good this year. Why can't people recognize that?

Lingering Eddie Drummond hang-over. I agree, our kick returns have been fine, it's our coverage units that need some work.

Even those have been pretty good outside of a couple breakdowns. Not great, but good.

The roster is so young Priefer is dealing with players who haven't played special teams in a long time, if at all.

I'd like to see the Chiefs transition to Herb Taylor to center, and move Niswanger to RG.

Oh, and cclearly, I'm talking about an offseason project as it relates to Taylor.

Taylor has played well and should figure in to the O-line next year. It would be good to give him some playing time this year.

What do you all think of OT Richardson?

McIntosh has got to go, but that's a "captain obvious" statement. The only future with the Chiefs that I can see for Mac is at Gaurd.

What other young, promising O-linemen do we have on the roster?

I liked Richardson coming out of Clemson.

He's a big, athletic guy who, if motivated, probably could hold down the LT spot if needed, but he's also a mauler type that should be a great fit at RT.

The question about him is motivation, but I'd like to see him out there right now to see where he's at.

There's no way he could be as bad as Mac, and he may be the man at RT.

No matter how it all shakes out, I'd be looking at guys like Craig Urbik, Max Unger and Fenoki Topou in the third round and later.
